Indoor versus outdoor discrepancy

I suspect this question has been asked before, so I'll make it short and sweet. Does it require a greater effort on rollers to get the same results (i.e., velocity) that you would on the road? When riding my e-Motion rollers, I've noticed that my watts are higher but my speed is slower.

This is very possible. Riding on rollers is completely different from riding outdoors. Your rollers apply frictional tension, which causes power to be higher at lower levels of speed. How much the difference is between rollers and outdoors will depend on the specific model of rollers/trainer that you use.

I think the general perception is that you're going to be down about 10% of your power potential on rollers/trainers vs. road riding.
