Check Calibration

For the past 3 or 4 rides, I noticed a sudden rise in power, when I run the "Check Calibration" function it shows me "significant change on profile". It shows wind scaling, friction and tilt to be out. Although I have run wind and tilt calibrations before each ride and everything seems fine after calibrations. In my last ride (today) I even made sure to leave the ibike out for about half an hour where the temperature was about 91F before running the wind and tilt calibrations.

Why should these parameters be out?
What happens if I click to "send profile to ibike" from this function?
Will this send the new wind scaling, friction and tilt to the ibike?
Does this mean next time the new parameters will be used to calculate power?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Your ride file shows significant blue "flames" at high speeds, possibly suggesting that your Cal Ride is off.

HOWEVER, the Check Calibration feature ASSUMES that the ride was an out-and-back, and that wind conditions did not change during the ride. Whether or not this is true in your ride I cannot tell.

With the Check Calibration feature run, the blue flames tend to disappear, indicating both that there weren't huge head winds on your ride, and also that your calibration may have been wrong.

If you believe the results of the Check Calibration, then click the "send to iBike" button so that your improved settings will be saved in your Newton, and that these factors will be applied to subsequent rides.

Thanks John,

I will re-do a Cal Ride and will let you know how things change.
