SPD FAIL AND OTHER - iBike Pro

Post by JOHN WALKER »

Since a car ran into me 3 weeks ago, ibike has been acting a little strange since.
now back on the bike for the past week riding on the road:
1: power readings appear odd
2: the heart reads either high or not at all, then corrects itself.
3: wls fail then corrects

Now on the trainer.
1:No power or speed readings.

I have done the following:
a) replaced all batteries with new,
b) performed tilt and wind cal
c) checked and re-checked sensors and crank and wheel, distance correct and can hear the click.
d) did a wireless scan: heart found, spd fail.
Note : all though heart found, and shows 65bp, I decide to jump up and down for while. the bp does not increase.
just hope the bp does not read zero .. or else I have a big problem.
e) checked all settings and followed trouble shooting advice as per page 49 of Firmware.

Have taken the ibike off the bike and whilst it sits there, %slope is reading & with crazy reading .. like 54%

I feel the unit has been damaged in the accident, or I have done something wrong or not done something to correct.
I am not asking for a warranty replacement, as this would not be fair to you.
I am extremely happy with iBike and if a replacement is the answer, I have no problem with buying another.

SPD FAIL is your problem. The iBike won't work if speed signals are not found.

Are you using a cadence sensor? If so, try converting it into a speed sensor and see if you get SPD FOUND.

If this fails, you should probably send your complete kit (sensors, mount, iBike) to us so we can take a look at it.

I have a combined speed and cadence sensor.
I have activated the iBike without connecting to the mount and the speed screen switches back and
forth to hill slope. The speed reads zero , but the slope reads anything from say -5% to 40%.
