Analyzing route??

Another question on the analyzing route. I have to 3 rides where I was doing short hill repeats anywhere from 1-4 minutes depending on which ride file you look at. During the ride I was struggling or unable to hit the numbers I was going for on my power meter. Then when I got home and downloaded the ride and let the IBike software analyze it all of the numbers seem to ALWAYS go up, sometimes to what I thought I was actually doing. So my question is this why, and what does take place in the analyze route that makes this happen? And one mre thing, which is most like correct? I asked this last question before but was told that it did not matter, just to make sure if I use the analyze feature to do it on all rides if not don't use it.
