Single RIde broke down into 6 ride files
Today I did a 60 mile ride, but my iBike unit broke it down into 6 separate files. All the data was there. . . I just had to piece it together using "append." But, I've never had this happen before. What would cause this to occur and how does one prevent it? I put in a fresh battery the night before, but the temp was 40 degrees outside. Can low voltage casue this?
Re: Single RIde broke down into 6 ride files
My understanding is that cold temperatures can, indeed, cause this - the iBike tries to ensure that no data is lost, so it writes data more frequently when the battery voltage appears low, as happens when even a fresh battery is cold.

Peter is correct.
In cold weather it's important to change batteries often--or to use the new iBike Gen III Rechargeable Mount, shipping very soon!

Thanks for the advise. It all makes sense. I have just never run into this situation and I've had the unit for 3 years. I'll just replace the battery more frequently in the winter
