After spending a lot of time on this I have come to the conclusion that my USB cable must be bad and I would like to not have to spend $75 on a new cable, seems a bit high (I have tried to get things working on two different Mac's and one WIndows PC, uninstalled everything, re-installed everything etc). I found a post on these forums where someone took their cable apart and fixed it by re-soldering two of the wires, but they gave no hints on how to actually do it. However, when I look at my cable, specifically the part that twists onto the iBIke, it appears to be welded together and I don't see how to open it up. Has anyone successfully opened theirs up and can you give pointers? My cable is fairly old, dating back to the original iBIke I days if that matters.
Thanks,
Jay

Unfortunately, you won't be able to open your USB adapter without destroying it.

Well, I was able to get it working again. See the following thread with my post at the end.
