Is it possible to not use the stupid Powertap(in hub) cadence and use the Garmin speed cadence sensor to grab cadence? Powertap cadence is wacky at best out.

If you have the Garmin speed/cadence sensor, AND the GT firmware installed in your iBike, then you'll see cadence from the Garmin sensor.
