Cadence Output too high

Post by jscotth »

A couple of weeks ago I did a ride and got really weird cadence numbers - about double what I was really turning - and every minute or so it would throw in a number like 6450. The next couple of rides it worked fine, and now for the last two rides it is ready off again. I tried to reset it - took battery out and put back in and went through a new find. Still not working right.

I am using a Gen III iaero.

Any ideas?

Move the cad magnet or the cad sensor slightly. 1mm in any direction will do. You can sometimes get multiple hits from the magnetic field. Also be careful that your speed magnet isn't so close to the cad sensor that it could be affecting it.

I generally run the speed sensor on the seat stay so the magnets are inches apart in their swing.
