cadence sensor sleeps too soon

Post by ScottChapman »

When I stop my ride for a few minutes, I notice that my cadence sensor goes to sleep in a rather short period of time, maybe 5 minutes. The speed sensor stays awake just fine.

I know I can wake it up just fine, but it is a little annoying...

Any adjustment?

Some of the early production sensors had a short turn-off period. This was mentioned in the instructions.

Later-generation sensors turn off after about 20 minutes.

As there is nothing "wrong" with either sensor, and since this is a consequence of the circuit design of the sensors, your only option is to purchase a replacement cadence sensor. The ones we are shipping now turn off after 20 minutes.
