Sporadic 'Speed Fail'

Post by iodaniell »

Scenario:

1 - speed sensor sporadically quits during commute to work; lesser occurrances going home; even less on long rides
2 - changed to new battery due to #1.
3 - speed sensor -still- sporadically fails as described in #1 (3 times in 15 miles this morning).
4 - sensor is mounted under (avoiding chain slap?) the right chainstay (i.e., so, that wheel dishing is not a problem when changing wheels)

Any ideas?

iBike sensor.

I can, but it'd be a pita (pain in the a**) because they are ShoeGoo'd in place.
