wireless stem mount on bontrager xxx lite carbon stem

Hello to all,

I got my isport wireless with stem mount two weeks ago.
The stem mount doesn't fit my bontrager xxx lite carbon stem.
(the stem that Radioshack is currently using on their bikes)
The diameter of the stem is greater than that of the mount & clamp.
The supplied screws are too short.
I made a temporary adaption using a paperclip on one side (fixed) and i tighten the other side only.
Does anyone have a more practical solution to my problem?
Does anyone know the specs on the clamp bolts? (perhaps i can try to buy longer ones)

Any good hardware store will have the screws you need. They are 4-40. That's the diameter and thread pitch. If you're in the USA then most ACE Hardware stores have a selection up to about 1 1/2 inches long.

As long as the screws will fit past the stem and screw in you should be OK. Just build up some kind of epoxy base to take up the space between the iBike mount and the stem. Search the forums for epoxy or custom mounts. You'll find a few postings.
