Speed sensor not working

Hey all-

Long story short: during a recent and rare ride in the rain, water got into my speed sensor (broken o-ring) and it isn't working. I've tried some of the usual solutions posted in other parts of the forum (drying it out, installing the battery in reverse, doing the jitterbug, etc) and it still is DOA. Any other possible solutions before I order a new sensor?

Electronics and water don't mix. Unfortunately I think your sensor is gone.

Thanks John. I figured as much but thought I'd ask. The least the sensor could've done was put on a spark show as it died. Alas, no such luck.
