Best distance between cadence and speed sensors

What is the minimum distance between cadence and speed sensors (wireless)? I am adding a cadence sensor, and don't want to have to reinstall the sensor, or move the speed sensor if I don't have to. I am looking to put it about 4 inches from the speed sensor on the same chain stay (opposite the chain). Would that work?

That's close to my set-up on my road and tt bikes: cadence sensor hanging down, speed sensor mounted up fairly close to the quick-release. Had no problems with either bike.
