Dead mount

Post by Brodirt »

My wireless mount died for no apparent reason. By process of elimination using my other bikes, mounts, and sensors I eliminated everything else. I did battery changes on everything and had resets as well.
Are there any tricks I am missing?

Hard reset on the mount itself? Reverse the batter in the wireless mount for a couple seconds. I am guessing you had a hard reset on the iBike unit. What do the 6 gold contacts look like on the wireless mount = clear of debris but still undamaged full gold circles?

Just a couple other ideas.

I did the hard reset on the mount first and the unit later, just to eliminate all variables. The contacts look clean.
The only thing left I can think of is water damage from washing the bike. I'm gonna use a blow dryer on cool today and see if there is any water in there.
