To do a hard reset, press-hold the bottom, right, left, and center keys simultaneously.

My Newton will not leave the setup page. Depressing the top key while in it causes the words setup to appear again.

Please do a hard reset and see if that fixes the problem.

I am at my wit's end... I have entered basic information (i.e. weight, height, alt, etc.) and completed the "tilt"; however, I am unable to complete the scan. The only item that will scan is my Garmin heart rate belt. Does anyone have any suggestions? I keep on getting a "Speed Error" message. Enclosed, please find three pics. Pic # 1 shows "Cadence Set-up Option # 1. Pic # 2 shows "Speed Magnet to Magnet Set-up" and Pic # 3 shows "Cadence Set-up Option" # 2.

The spoke magnet needs to pass within 1-2 coin widths of the vertical notch in the rectangular speed sensor. It's unclear from your photos if this is the case.

Please give us a call and we will help you sort things out.

one small edit I have seen so far, on page 22 the step 7 is missing the word tilt inside the quotes.
