Re: PowerPod V3 issue after clearing memory

Do the following: 1) Press-hold your PP button for 12 seconds, until the light goes out briefly and turns back on. This does a hard reset of your device 2) Connect your PP to Isaac and use the command Device/Erase all Ride Files. This removes old ride files 3) Use the command Edit/Edit Profiles/Get ...

1) Press-hold PP button for about 12 seconds, until light goes out briefly and then starts flashing, then release button, to hard-reset your unit 2) Connect your PP to Isaac 3) Use the command "Device/Erase all ride files" to remove the ride files from your memory 4) Do a short ride. Hopef...

Re: PowerPod showing extremely high wattage numbers midway through rides.

"Your ride file shows a consistent tail wind; a sure indicator of a miscalibrated unit. You can do a new cal ride and post the results here. Note that if your cal ride is good you should see average windspeed nearly the same as average bike speed." Ok, thanks. Any certain obvious tips on ...

Re: battery charge level?

It should turn off after 20 minutes of zero speed, but like you I click the button 5 times to turn my unit off manually.

We do show battery charge level in the Garmin details. It is a pain to get to that page so I just turn off my unit manually.

Re: PowerPod v3 Issues - Is It The Button Issue?

Just wondered whether the issue where the power would show 0W during a ride and then the PPV3 would have to be restarted. I've had similar issues with mine where either it will show 0W when I start a ride and so press 5 times to shut down and then one to restart. Sometimes works. Otherwise a soft r...

Re: PowerPod showing extremely high wattage numbers midway through rides.

If you're pedaling on a downhill because you are working hard to go even faster, then by all means pedal. Just be aware that, unless your unit is precisely calibrated, you may have inaccurate power readings. My experience, however, is that it is extremely difficult to pedal hard/fast enough to add m...

Re: PowerPod showing extremely high wattage numbers midway through rides.

Things are OK. There is no problem with your accelerometer. On downhills everything has to be in perfect balance in order to obtain around zero watts when soft pedaling. In your case the wind calibration seems low (there is a near constant tail wind). This means that downhill gravity acceleration is...

Re: PPV5 change profile after ride

I looked at your ride file. When you use analytical commands, such as "Switch Profile after the Ride", Isaac reprocesses raw data from your unit, basically recreating in your computer the calculations your unit does on the road. I agree there is a difference but I can't explain why. Most l...

Re: Very High Watt numbers.

Your PP recalibrated itself during the first 90 seconds of your ride. After that 90 seconds all is well.

If you keep PP attached to your bike, you shouldn't have any recalibration problems.

Re: Very High Watt numbers.

Unfortunately, it's impossible to tell what is going on without a ride file.

Connect your unit to Isaac and do a "Device/Erase all ride files" command.

It's possible that the full memory is screwing up things.

Do a short ride and post it; that will allow me to figure out what is going on.

Re: PowerPod showing extremely high wattage numbers midway through rides.

Your accelerometer is misbehaving.

I would do a hard reset of the unit, then a new cal ride.

If that doesn't straighten things out then you can send it in for service, but I'm not confident we will be able to fix it.

This is a problem with macOS and Isaac. If you have an Intel Mac I think there is a fix, but I will have to check it before providing a workaround.
