Re: How do i open a particular day's file?
It's not clear to me why you have so many ride files. Please post one of them and I will take a look. Your PowerPod is starting a new ride file every five minutes. I suggest you do a Hard Reset (press-hold the button for about 10 seconds, until it turns off momentarily and then restarts). The reason...

No need to "force" it.
PP continuously readjusts itself. After riding for 8 minutes your PowerPod will be dialed-in again.

Re: Good feedback on PP accuracy - constant uphill test
Generally, the steeper the slope, the easier it is to estimate power directly from opposing forces - this was how I used to measure power before I picked up a DFPM, along with Gribble's power calculator . For most of us, a slope of 10% on a fairly calm day is nearly 100% down to resistance from gra...

Yes, it most certainly seems your wind sensor is blocked. If your front port isn't blocked, then contact technicalsupport@velocomp.com for next steps

Re: Questions from new user
In the photos you posted your PowerPod was pointed too high. That would cause the problems you are experiencing. It sounds like you have fixed this problem with the new mount. During the first 8 minutes of riding with your new mount the PP will automatically recalibrate itself. So, you don't have to...

Re: New user - I think the power looks a bit high?
Your files show that your average bike speed is 33 mph, and you have long stretches at 40 mph! Are you riding in the TdF? :-) Your ride files also show spikes in the speed data. It looks like you are using a combined speed/cadence sensor, so I think you need to reposition your speed sensor and magne...

Re: If i take the Power Pod off the bike do i need to re-cal
No, you don't need to recalibrate. When you reattach the PP, do your best to put it back in exactly the same position, by rotating it gently forward until the stop hits the mount. Then, tighten the bolt.
You should get about 25 hours between recharges.

Re: Constant tail wind in ride files
A consistent tail wind indicates an incorrect wind calibration from the out and back ride.
I'd like to see the cal ride that preceded the ride file you posted. The ride file you posted has a wind factor of 1.600---almost an impossibility for an O&B ride.
Did you do any drafting in this ride?

Re: Magnetless sensor pairing issues
I've had similar pairing issues with the magnet less Garmin sensor. What is happening is that, prior to the pairing process, I spin the crank backwards, to wake up the Garmin cadence sensor, but it doesn't wake up. So, when I pair the sensor ID is not picked up. The fix is really simple. Pedal your ...

Re: DFPM readings when none attached
Somehow, your unit was paired when there was a DFPM in the neighborhood. You picked up its ID. This is an easy thing to fix. Connect your unit to Isaac, then go to "Edit/Edit Profiles..." Click the "Forget DFPM" button. Then click the "Send to Device" button. This will ...

Re: How do I know how accurately my powerpod is dialed in ?
This is an automatic function that happens continuously, at every moment of every ride.
If you've removed your PP and then reattached it, the first 8 minutes will compensate for any changes in mounting angle. After that, the changes are gradual (at best) so there is nothing to worry about.

Re: How do I know how accurately my powerpod is dialed in ?
The best way to check calibration is with a true out-and-back ride, so that any wind on the "out" portion is exactly balanced by the same wind on the "back" portion. It looks like you had a tail wind on the out portion, and a headwind on the return portion. If you use the "A...

Re: New Power Pod seems to be stuck in infinite calibration
The problem is that your PowerPod is pointed either too high towards the sky, or too low towards the ground. The word "PowerPod" should be within +/-20 degrees of level (parallel to the ground beneath it). If it is beyond this limit you will get the problem you report. Reposition your moun...

It's possible one of the ride files in your device is corrupted. 1) Try opening one of your old ride files. If this works, that is a good sign... 2) In the "Edit/Preferences/Ride Data" window, make sure the "Automatically Download" box is unchecked Screen Shot 2016-07-02 at 5.40....
