Re: Calibration ride--need to do anything special?
You can do an out-and-back ride if you wish, then post it here for comparison.

Re: Angle of Newton using RWS
Sorry, I've never learned "roll" "pitch" and "yaw" in their aeronautical sense... :-) The Newton has a long axis, which runs through the wind port, and a short axis, which is perpendicular to the long axis. The short axis should be parallel with the handlebars, though a...

Setting up PowerPod on a second bike
It's getting to be the time to ride outdoors, and some of you have more than one bike. PowerPod will work with all of them; simply perform the pairing process each time you move your PowerPod to a different bike. But here's something cool: your PowerPod can memorize "profiles" for up to fo...

Re: Changing bikes
You’ve probably got your (road?) bike set up in Profile 1. To set up your second bike (which I assume uses a separate speed/cadence sensor) do the following: 1) Connect your PP to Isaac 2) Go to "Device/Set Active Profile in Newton" 3) Select Profile 2. Then, disconnect PP from Isaac 4) Cl...

Re: Calibration ride--need to do anything special?
The first 5 minutes of your first ride, the PowerPod will calibrate itself. Then, you're all set!

Tech Support alert: "Stuck in Cal Ride Mode"
SETUP PROBLEM: POWERPOD IS STUCK (LOOPS) IN CAL RIDE MODE We have had a VERY FEW customers report that, when doing the 5 minute PowerPod calibration ride, the power readings go from 1—>98W (as expected), then “normal” watts appear for a few seconds, but then the calibration sequence repeats over an...

Re: Mac OS X El Capitan has difficulty recognizing Gen 3 iPr
The issue is not El Capitan or Isaac. The issue is that you are using two devices (Gen III iBike and Joule, I believe) that use the same SiLabs drivers. Each time you connect your Joule to your Mac, the Joule "hijacks" the SiLabs drivers, knocking-off the iBike connection. In order to rees...

Firmware update 6.10
We've just released a new version of PowerPod firmware, 6.10: • Improved power accuracy and consistency when using PowerPod on hill repeats • Fixed a bug that causes incorrect power smoothing on ANT+ channel when user sets PowerPod to 0 second smoothing (factory default smoothing is Dynamic Power Sm...

Re: Too high watts during windy days
Actually, your problem is pretty simple. Somehow your PowerPod profile was changed so that the wind scaling factor was moved from the factory value of 1.6 (combo mount) to 4.6. This will cause wind and watts to be crazy-high. I fixed your ride file and corrected your profile, both attached. Load the...

Re: Too high watts during windy days
Please post your .ibr ride file.
Also, please do a short solo ride, where you ride down the road five minutes, then turn around and ride back to the same starting point. Please post this .ibr ride file too.
Finally, please post an image of how you have your PowerPod attached to your bike.

For starters just leave everything as-is. The default settings should work reasonably well for both surfaces.

Re: Any Newton compatible mount for aero cookpit
We don't have any easy solution for this. The problem is that every bike manufacturer is creating their own unique stem and handlebars, making it impossible to provide a workable solution. You MIGHT be able to fashion an aluminum bracket that attaches to the bolts beneath the stem (I'm guessing that...

You can use Isaac to set up a new profile and best accuracy cal ride, or you can access both items through the Setup screens.

Re: Battery life
At present there is no way to determine battery usage during a ride. We're working on something to indicate a low battery. There is not a way to turn the PowerPod off manually, nor is there a need to do so. Assuming the unit remains on for 20 minutes of non-use, this uses only 1.5% of the battery's ...

Re: Do i need to recalibrate when i buy new wheels?
You can copy over your calibrations into profile 3 and 4, but I would do a best accuracy cal ride for each new profile.

Re: Ibike Newton and MTB ?
The issue may be that, somehow, your calibration data has been corrupted in your profile, forcing the negative Crr to compensate.
I'd do a new Device/Setup Newton..., followed by a Best Accuracy cal ride, to see if that fixes things.

Re: Ibike Newton and MTB ?
I'm not sure how you did your cal ride, but there definitely some issues in your profile, namely, a negative value of rolling resistance! Here's what I recommend: 1) Use Isaac "Device/Setup Newton..." to reset the values of your profile 2) On the final step, select "Best Accuracy"...

Re: Powerpod - Garmin Edge800 strange values
Your speed sensor is misbehaving. You are getting high-speed spikes everywhere, like those shown below. This will cause lots of problems.
Make sure your speed magnet passes within 1-2 coin widths of the speed sensor. Then, all should be well.
