Re: Effect of Cross Winds
The average wind direction is a bit deceiving. I checked along the full course and the wind was mainly from the north. In terms of firm ware the unit has 3.10 and I set the offset just before I started the ride. I'm beginning to think I might have to redo my coast downs.

Re: Effect of Cross Winds
It wasn't so much the end of the ride, but the effort during the intervals. For maintaining a average wattage of less than 200 watts for 3 minutes I was really bagged at the end of each interval. That being said, I did feel that I had worked very hard at the end of the ride. And looking at the relat...

Re: Effect of Cross Winds
Hi, Here's some screen captures. First up show the wind direction as determined using Sports Tracks WindDirection.jpg Here's the wind analysis from my iBike Aero which looks O.K. to me. WindAnalysis.jpg And a detail of an 3 minute interval poweranalysis.jpg What it felt like was happening was the am...

Effect of Cross Winds
Hi, in post http://www.ibikeforum.com/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=873&p=5115&hilit=cross+wind#p5115 R Mc mentions iAero's can under report when riding in cross winds. I was out last night on an east west out and back ride with constant north cross wind on a fairly level road. I noticed my power ...

Re: High vibration power spikes... anyone else?
It's not so much the change in my NP values, but effect it has in WKO+ when determining CP levels and watts per kg in the 1 and 5 second range. This makes it harder to get a handle on what I can actually put out. Once in a blue moon I get a hiccup like yours from exceptionally rough roads. Just like...

Re: High vibration power spikes... anyone else?
I've got the same issue in several files gathered with my GenII Aero. This usually happens when I go over a patch of rough pavement. As you can see in the graph below: powerspike.jpg At around 30 km I get a big spike for about 3 or 4 seconds, Notice I don't get the high vibration bars in the graph. ...

Re: Sync with Garmin Data
That did the trick. Although it is pain having to edit the file to get it to sync. Open the tcx file in an xml editor and search and replace every occurence of "</Track><Track>" with "". Do not include the quotes. Save as new file name and try again. I recommend foxe from http://...

Sync with Garmin Data
Hi, I've been trying to sync my Garmin files with the output from my IBike files and it just isn't working. I was wondering if this might be related to watts bug reported earlier as I did run into that problem. However I applied the work around, which worked for the watts bug but it hasn't made a di...

Re: Weird PowerBar Display Behavior
It's a good thing as I don't think I'd ever get the W2000 full, unless I used a 56x10racerfern wrote: I've been fortunate to test the latest beta FW in trainer mode and the power bar display is spot on accurate just like non-trainer sessions. So keep an eye out for its release.

Weird PowerBar Display Behavior
Hi, I've noticed that my PowerBar display is constantly showing 2000 when I'm riding in trainer mode even though I'm well below putting out anywhere close to that number(only in my dreams :D) , say around 300 watts or so. In addition sometimes it will flash rapidly between numbers when I'm at lower ...

With fall now closing in and winter almost around the corner can we expect to see additional trainer profiles added? I'd like to see profiles for Krietler rollers and the Tacx cycle Force 1.

Re: editing ride data within iBike2 software
That did the trick. I'll have to remember to check the speed values when downloading from my iBike. Cheers! I think the problem is the spike in speed. If you open the file in Excel you can see the speed become erratic at 13.3327km. If you correct those speed numbers to about what they were, then sav...

Re: editing ride data within iBike2 software
I know this is an old thread but it addresses a question I have. ..or how about being able to enter a personal 'max power threshold' in the user settings so that when the ride is analysed the software can use this to look for any spikes and then give you the option to have them replaced - the trick ...

Turning unit on after stopping
Hi, I have a questions regarding use of the unit when you stop during a ride long enough for the unit to power done. For example, on our weekly coffee ride we'll stop for coffee for about 1/2 hour or so and I have to start the unit up again. Is it necessary to redo the wind and tilt calibration be f...

Re: Post ride analysis
I ran into a similar problem this past weekend also in heavy rain. Once the rain got heavy my power increased to the 700 watt range, very flattering. I'm going to go back and make the edits suggested by Fernado to try and correct the data. Yesterday I set out in cool ,but dry weather. the heavens op...
