Re: By popular demand: Export for Strava/TrainingPeaks
What would be nice would be the ability to choose a default format Issac export to. If I remember correctly Issac automatically creates a csv file from the ride file. So it would a fairly easy step, "only a few lines of code" to quote a colleague of mine, to get this added to Issac.

Re: Tilt Cal R.I.P.
This sounds just like what I deal with on a regular basis on accuracy vs precision at my day gig. This article at Wikipedia Accuracy and Precision is a great explanation of how the two differ. A lot of people get the two terms confused and how they work. I think the precision, or repeatability of th...

Aero Testing
Hi.
I just ran across an interesting article at Velo News. This system tests Cda in a velodrome using a power meter and other sensors. I think it would be an interesting experiment to compare results with those derived from an iBike.
Cheers!

Just my $0.02 (CDN) Where is the Isaac Help File? I'd like to have documentation that goes into detail about how to work the check calib...

HI all, Once again it's time to set up my bicycle torture chamber and mount my wheels on my trusty Vomitron® I've been looking at the coefficients for the Kurt Kinetic Road Machine and to set the value for D to 0.019168, which according to this thread over at Cycling Forums is the more up to date va...

Newton Compared to Power Tap
Hi, I've gone through calibrating my Newton+ with a power tap and I'm interested in interpreting the data available with the power meter comparison tool. The power tap is a loner and I might not have access to it all the time. Anyhow here's a sample from a ride I did last night: IBIKE STATS --------...

A bit of an aside but somewhat related. Is there a good explanation of the information present of the stats page and how to interpret it. In particular what do the R^2 tell us and what kind of numbers should we looking for when comparing our iBike data to DFPM data? I've looked through the documenta...

They really need a new Head Unit ASAP as none of the currently supported Polar devices can display or review the average power for an interval (think USER training mode on the iBike). You can see average power for the whole ride but for anything else you need to wait until you download the file to ...

A green light indicates the battery is charged. You should get a low battery message on the iBike unit when the battery needs to be recharged. When you plug the battery into the charger for recharging the light will be red indicating it's charging.

Hi,
Just saw a quick mention of this new HUD for athletes on Velo News shown at Interbike this year. It's Ant+ compatible, configurable for target zones, and other cool stuff. This combined with iBike is going to rock. Guess what's going on my Christmas list along with a Gen IV upgrade

Hi, I recently did a calibration and coast down as I switched to the rechargeable mount, different rims etc. I think the values are looking OK and I did use the new setup wizard, but this past week I did a couple of rides with fairly strong head winds and I'm not so sure any more. Anyhow I've attach...

Re: What's my HR doing up there???
Hi,
Sounds like you're experiencing interference with your heart rate monitor. This can be caused by static electricity generated by your jersey. Make sure your heart rate strap is really wet when you put it on. Or you could use an electrode gel like Ba-Bump to help reduce the effect.
Cheers!

Re: trainer mode - running fan
I found I have to be careful when using a fan indoors as the "wind" generated by the fan can cause the iBike to tune off the trainer mode. This is only a problem when I position the fan directly in front of my bike when riding on my rollers or trainer.
