Re: How to Perform a Wireless Scan

Go into setup and click the up arrow until you come to a screen that says "REL". What is the number beneath it? This is your firmware version.

Note that the Scan procedure works only with Gen III iBikes, with firmware 4.17 or higher installed.

Re: Recurring Issues / What am I doing wrong

When the WLS FAIL message appears in less than 8 seconds, it means that the wireless mount is not communicating with the iBike.

Make sure the contacts are clean, both on the mount and on your iBike.

Re: Why doesn't App Store Alert Me of V 1.04 Update of iDash

I think you have a beta app. If so the automatic update doesn't work (it did not with my beta app). Once you install 1.0.4 you'll be "normal" again.

Not sure about issue #1. We will investigate.

When you finish your ride, make sure to do an "End Current Ride". This will add your data to the calendar.

Re: Dash TT Setup

We've had one customer create a custom aero-bar mount. Basically, there is an aluminum bar that spans the aero bar. The top of the iDash mount is bolted to its center. It is pretty simple and would do just what you want. Also, note that there is now a new Remote Wind Sensor available for the iDash.

New Mac drivers for Gen I-III iBikes and iBike software

Attached are new drivers that are compatible with 64 bit Macs. These drivers will work on ALL Macs.

These drivers work with the Gen I-III USB adapter. If you use the iBike Dash only, it is not necessary to install these drivers.

Mac Pro and MacBook in 64 bit mode

The new Mac Pro and MacBook computers boot in 64 bit mode. This causes a few problems for the iBike software 1) The new iBike 507 software, being released shortly, is required for 64 bit machines. Note: this software will work on ALL Macs. 2) If you're installing iBike software for the first time ev...

If you've done a coast down I'd probably leave the default Crr in the RACR menu. This will make your CdA measurement the most consistent.

Re: iSport and USB Adapter

An iSport and USB adapter will allow you to download firmware updates (the latest FW is 424). You won't, however, be able to download rides or do multiple coast down analyses. You can do coast downs on the iSport, just as you can with any other iBike, but with the Pro or Aero you can do multiple coa...

New Photos of Rechargeable Wireless Mount

Here are some new photos. A few points: 1) This is a much better setup for high-angle mount situations 2) This mount is PERFECT for TT setups. You'll be able to slide your mount in and out, no matter how close together your aero bars are. 3) The somewhat taller location provides a really clean view ...

Re: Strange wind readings after WET ride

You've bumped in to a phenomenon peculiar to the iBike. If the wind port fills with water then the wind readings can be crazy. There's two ways to fix it: 1) empty the wind port occasionally during the ride. 2) Purchase a Remote Wind Sensor. This will keep water from entering the port and causing th...
