Re: ibike aero not displying slope in WKO+
Nice spotting - thanks. I had usually been looking at the file in the ibike software but not making any changes so never hit the "save" button in there. By simply saving it (same name or different name) before importing into WKO, that somehow helps WKO recognise the slope data. Comparing t...

Re: ibike aero not displying slope in WKO+
The slope option is greyed out on all rides except those ones with the merged files. Bizzare huh?

Re: ibike aero not displying slope in WKO+
Odd - wonder what's different about my files.
What's your process for getting off ibike and into WKO? Here's what I do:
1) download all rides from ibike
2) view in ibike software to check ok
3) erase from ibike
4) drag and drop into WKO
Cheers

Re: Heart rate strap water proof?
Yeah the annecdotal information seems to say it's ok, but the official line says otherwise. I guess it's ok up to a point, but no one's prepared to say exactly what that is! IPX-7 = "Ingress of water in harmful quantity shall not be possible when the enclosure is immersed in water under defined...

Re: ibike aero not displying slope in WKO+
Ok, so here's the hack I found: The file where WKO DOES display slope was actually a merged / appended file of 3 separate rides. So next I made a copy of one ride, deleted all the ride data out of it (apart from file headers), appended it to another ride, then voila - WKO displays slope. Bizzare but...

ibike aero not displying slope in WKO+
I tried posting this on the Training Peaks WKO+ focum but got no answer. Can anyone here help me? I've just started using WKO+ and only have 5 rides in it so far. Of all those, only 1 displays slope information, however using the ibike software I get slope information for all the rides. Can anyone s...

Re: Heart rate strap water proof?
Well the official word from Garmin says NOT waterproof: "Your Heart Rate Monitor (HRM) is rated at IPX-7 for the waterproofing. This means that it is resistant to incidental water contact, such as sweat & rain. It is not rated to be able to be worn while swimming." Bugger - there goes ...

Re: Heart rate strap water proof?
Can't find who makes the strap, but have asked Garmin the question - might take a few days for the answer. This is about the best annecdotal info I can find out there (suggesting it IS waterproof) http://forum.slowtwitch.com/Slowtwitch_Forums_C1/Triathlon_Forum_F1/Forerunner_305_Heart_Rate_Strap_Wat...

Re: Heart rate strap water proof?
It's not to capture data during the swim, it's so you don't have to stuff around putting it on in T1 . Watch any race and you'll see a lot of people come out of the water with it already on.

Re: Heart rate strap water proof?
Nope, we don't make it; we buy it from the same people who make the Garmin strap, Timex strap, etc etc... Ah, ok. There's a lot of different model straps out there so the answer for one might not be the same as others. Let me know who makes the straps and where I can get hold of them. I'll check it...

Heart rate strap water proof?
I assume it is so it can be worn in the swim but thought I better check. Does anyone know?

A whole lot of newbie questions
Hi guys - I've searched the forums and read the manuals but haven't managed to answer these questions: Why the 5min outdoor acclimitisation? How important is this and what does it do? The difference between where I store my bike and outdoor temp would rarely be more then 10 degrees C so is this stil...

Re: How to Perform a Wireless Scan with Gen III iBikes
Thanks John I thought I had upgraded the firmware but it was still only 3.x. Apologies for that. All good now.

Re: How to Perform a Wireless Scan
I'm stumped how to do this. I hold down the top and bottom arrows at the same time (tried about 20 times) but it will never do a scan. Only ever goes into setup. I'm guessing this means I'm not quite pressing them right, but I just can't do it! Any other way to initiate a scan?
Thanks
