Re: Software screen info question
I had a bunch of those in my ride yesterday. I looked at the NP and TSS but I didn't hold the button. Is it that sensitive?

Re: Wrong Distance? This is WAYYY off.
I forgot to change the battery today and other weird stuff is happening. Having said that, why would my Garmnd Edge 500 record the same ride perfectly and not the iBike?

Ok, I'll drop in a new battery into my GSC10 and see if it improves. I'll post another file from my next ride.

Re: Wrong Distance? This is WAYYY off.
I definitely NEEDED to get back on the bike. I did a hard reset and the fast start procedure and what I thought was a calibration ride but it never told me to turn around. I'm not sure if it matters...either way I did a 4.18 mile out and back ride. I've attached that file here. The speed/distance nu...

Wrong Distance? This is WAYYY off.
I just dusted off my Gen III iBike Pro after an 18 month hiatus due to the birth of our twin daughters...did a short ride today over a known route and the distance is wrong. It only registered ~11 miles when the route is about 21 mile (my Garmin 500 shows 21.04 mi) while the iBike shows 60976.67 ft ...

Neither of those solutions worked. How can we tell is anything is wrong with the unit?

Re: LabView error?
I deleted and reinstalled the software....this seems to have caused more trouble. Here is the new error. So I went to my iMac (older version of the iBike software since I'm too lazy, busy, to update and and it downloaded the file but again only 76 miles... The unit is showing me 102 miles of date, a...

Calories? Can this be right?
I did a 64 mile ride on Sunday: Dist: 64.18 mi (4:20:51) Energy: 1574.9 kJ Cals Burn: 1505.7 kcal Climbing: 2128 ft Braking: -169.3 kJ (-10.7%) My Garmin Edge 500 calculated 4800 calories. H-U-G-E difference. Can anyone shed any light on which is more accurate. I've attached the iBike file if that h...

Re: New message when uploading - "Did the rider draft?"
Boyd, With this auto route analysis it looks like it's inserting laps at certain points. Yesterday it inserted a lap right in the middle of one of my hill repeats. Is this the way it's supposed to work? How can I remove that lap (combine the 2 laps) so I can get an accurate measurements of that repe...

Re: Calibration questions
Avanti, I think you are 100% correct. The precision of a measurement system, also called reproducibility or repeatability, is the degree to which repeated measurements under unchanged conditions show the same results. Once calibrated and stabilized on the bike, the iBike units appear to be extremely...

Re: Calibration questions
Ok...makes sense. I think you can only have 20 intervals...and it looks like I needed 22 to complete this one the way my coach sent it...

Re: Calibration questions
(Sorry for jacking this thread)
Boyd...if my coach gives me this workout:
(6) 15sec HARD/15sec EASY
(6) 30sec HARD/1minute EASY
EASY for 5 minutes
6 minutes of 20sec HARD/20sec EASY
EASY for 5 minutes
10 minutes watts 205-235
Should I be using the user intervals?

Re: Calibration questions
The data is showing that you stopped peddling a couple dozen times. Somewhere a heard something about power meters not registering if cadence is less than 35 rpm (???) or something like that. So maybe you didn't stop pedaling but it looks like you dropped below the minimum rpm required to calculate ...

Re: iBike protector
This question isn't related to the protection...I'm just wondering if your iBike is far enough forward on the stem. It seems to be a tad too far back based on what I remember about the installation/set-up.

Re: Poor Cold Weather Performance
Tom,
I rode frequently this winter in the Washington DC area with temps in the 30's and 40's and high winds and never had this problem. I would rotate batteries from ride to ride to allow the voltage to come back up but I never had the issue that you're describing.

Travis (and anyone else)
I noticed that a while back Travis did testing with a Performance brand trainer...my trainer is the "Travel Trac Century V Fluid +"
Which trainer profile do you think I should use?
