Newton broadcasting to Ambit 2S
Hi all, I recently upgraded to the 5.0 firmware and had a quick question regarding pairing with another ANT+ computer, specifically a Suunto Ambit 2S. I read in the manual that with the Firmware 5.0 the Newton should automatically broadcast the power data, but I haven't been able to successfully pai...

Re: This is way too cool
Agreed! I came on the forum to see if it would be compatible with the iBike, since it uses ANT+.
Hopefully someone from Velocomp can comment that it will be.

Re: Bottom clamp size question
Thanks! Ordered a couple from the store even though shipping was more than the mounts themselves.Velocomp wrote:The clamp we sell at the iBike store is an oversized clamp. Standard size clamps are available on a special-order basis.

Re: Battery Life in Head Unit
I've built that rig for a Gen III iAero, contact points are the same as in the diagram. As the GEN III mount interface is tighter than previous models I had to use very thin copper sheeting which I purchased from a hobby shop. I obtained a CR123A battery holder which lives inside the end of my hand...

Bottom clamp size question
I recently got overzealous and broke the bottom clamp on my oversize mount. I thought I would sub in the clamp from my tt bike but it turns out it is a standard size mount and doesn't fit. Since there is only one version of the bottom clamp available in the iBike store, I assume it will work ok with...

Re: New TT application for iBike
Are you just using a standard stem mount for your setup? I currently have the Xtender so my iBike sits below my aero bars. However, moving it up out of the wind - and where I can see it properly - would be nice. I figure if I wanted to move it though I would need both the RWS kit and a stem mount. I...

Re: Gen III
I am very interested!! :-) Thanks! Jim, Sorry for the delay on this, but here are the supplementary instructions iBike sent out with their iMount kit a while ago. You might be able to convince them to send you another kit, but if not I guess you can try and pry open one you have now. It can be toug...

Re: Gen III
I have a CR123A battery wired up to my mount and it has lasted over a year (though an injury limited my riding this summer) and is definitely better in the cold weather. I ran the wire underneath my handlebar tape and the battery sits in the end of my handlebar. A while back, the iBike folks obliged...
