Re: Big power differences between Favero Assioma and Newton

I used the "check calibration"command to dial-in your Newton.

The CdA drops down to about .34; when this change is made, the two devices match closely.

Make sure your Favero is properly calibrated; if it is, then this profile will keep the two devices close.

Re: Maximum wind speed

There is no max wind speed of which we are aware that will damage your sensor.

We would recommend against riding through major dust conditions, or rain, with PP on top of the car. It won't damage PP but you'll have to clean its wind port afterwards.

Re: Issues adding second bike (mtn bike)

Check your cadence sensor. If cadence drops to zero, for whatever reason, the 0-100 indicator will drop to zero.

In any event, the annoyance of the counter doesn't affect the calibration result.

Re: Change crr and cda from app

You can do this, approximately, by adjusting rider height or rider position (changes CdA), and road type (Crr). This is not as precise as using Isaac but it is a good field fix.

Re: Weird readings

Sorry, I meant to comment on that but forgot. On the 0549 ride, at the 15 minute mark, your PP was knocked out of position. It was pushed up, skyward, causing watts to go crazy-high until the automatic tilt correction fixed things about 90 seconds later. Make sure your PP is solidly attached and can...

Re: Weird readings

0545 ride: 1) your PP was bumped at the 14 minute mark. 2) it looks like your wind sensor was obstructed around the 1:45 mark. Were you riding in rain/mist, or did you draft? 0011 ride 1) PP recalibrafed itself during the first 90 seconds 2) the rest of the ride looks OK If your date was 7/20 this m...

Re: Issues adding second bike (mtn bike)

If you coasted at any point during the cal ride, power will go to zero. When you resume pedaling the counter will continue. This is not an issue.

I looked at your ride file.

The numbers in your ride file are correct. I don't know where the "TT bike Prof 2" comes from, but it is not the same profile as used in the ride.

Re: PowerStroke stopped working after latest update

I think your wind calibration is off. I would do a new cal ride. Your wind scaling factor is very high, about 3.6. Hopefully you did not get tire goop into the wind port... Finally, your PP seems to be differently positioned at the beginning of each of these two rides. This may be the cause of the s...

As the release notes state, the cal ride file is no longer stored. It is unnecessary to store it.

Here is what to do: 1) Switch profiles. 2) Do a new sensor pairing on your new profile 3) Use Isaac to extract the sensor IDs from your new profile "Edit/Edit Profiles/Extract from Device/Wireless IDs". Write down the sensor ID numbers and sensor type. 4) Open a ride file from your PP/DFPM era. Go t...

All is well. Here is what I did: 1) I opened your 7/31 TT ride file, clicked "Edit/Edit Profiles/Extract from Ride File". I named this profile "TT". The CdA of this profile is 0.284...consistent with a road bike. Your speed sensor ID is 10509 2) I opened your 8/1 road ride file, clicked "Edit/Edit P...

Re: Firmware 641 for PowerPod is available

When PP is moved from one bike to another, which it has previously been paired with, does it default to a new scan for sensors and force an O&B cal, or does it just recognize the previously st up bike and go to that profile and we’re good to go? It recognizes the sensors from the previous bike, and...

Re: Question about calibration after handlebar position change

If the only thing that has changed about your setup is the angle of your PP, you do NOT have to perform a new calibration. PP will figure things out, and at the end of the ride it will memorize the corrected angle.

Your ride file looks fine. HR strap kicked in at mile 9.

It looks like you had a lot of head wind towards the end of your ride.

At other places there are cross winds but the numbers seem reasonable.

Did a new sensor pairing after upgrading to 4.61, and the magnetless Garmin cadence and speed sensor IDs in the profile (extracted from the device) show different numbers than show on my Garmin Fenix 3. To make sure I was had cadence/speed paired to my Powerpod my Garmin 800 is set to "bike sensors...

1. Make sure all your sensors are awake, then pair them to PP 2. When PP starts pairing, it will flash green, when it pairs to your cadence, it will flash red 3 times. When pairing is done the light will show solid green then go out. You can confirm pairing by connecting PP to Isaac and use Edit/Edi...

Press hold your PP button for about 10 seconds. Eventually the light will go out momentarily, then start flashing again. Release the button. This does a hard reset of the unit.
