Re: Introducing AeroPod!

Yes, my bad. 1) AeroPod picks up DFPM cadence data. Additional sensor not required 2) AeroPod does not record additional DFPM data such as pedal smoothness. If your bike computer displays it, that's where you see it 3) AeroPod receives DFPM data. AeroPod transmits DFPM power, CdA, wind speed, time a...

Re: Low Power on MTB Ride - Calibration Suspect?

Your MTB would benefit from an out-and-back setup. Wind scaling is too low.

Your CdA is set for a TT bike, and your Crr is low.

I've attached corrected ride file and profile.

1) PP picks up DFPM cadence data. Additional sensor not required

2) AeroPod does not record DFPM additional data. If your bike computer displays it, that's where you see it

3) PP receives DFPM data. PP transmits DFPM power, CdA, wind speed, time advantage, slope, data

Re: Using CdA / Testing Protocol Advice?

Attaching Newton to your TT bars won't work. The bars are too flexible for the required accuracy of CdA measurement.

Find a way to attach Newton to your top tube, then run a hose from Newton to the front of your bike. This will work great.

Your ride is only 6 minutes long.

Your PP is attempting to recalibrate itself but you need to ride at least 8 minutes. Your ride file is only 6 minutes long.

Re: Help me with Display contrast please!!

We ceased production of Newton in 2015, and we have not updated firmware since then.

We can provide you version 4 of FW, which I believe has the contrast option, but understand that if you load FW 4.x, you will lose all the improvements made in FW 5.

Re: Download File Names Incorrect

If you did a "hard reset" of your unit, the internal clock is reset. Reconnect your device to Isaac and the date will be automatically reset. If you had "0" for your ride file distance, likely this is related to issue 1 above. Please post a .ibr ride file that illustrates your distance mismatch prob...

Re: Check calibration ride

This ride is very close.

You adjusted CdA up to .363...much better for your road bike.

PP watts are 119...DFPM watts 113. I don't know where your 155 number comes from.

Re: Power numbers don't add up in Isaac

Please post your entire ride file. In general the component numbers don't add up to the total number. There's lots of averaging that goes on when computing the components, whereas the total power number doesn't average the constituent parts; it adds the instantaneous components, "live". The other th...

Re: Check calibration ride

Your two ride files are quite different in wind speed. I don't know which one to "believe". Also, your CdA is a number that is appropriate for a TT bike...not a commuter bike. Finally, your Crr is high, but if you're on a commuter bike it probably is OK. Please do a new calibration ride, then post t...

Re: Output CdA data for analysis?

I don't think we have any way to output raw CdA data.

One thing you can do is put lap markers in your file, then get CdA stats for each lap. This is how I do equipment/position comparisons.

Re: Introducing AeroPod!

AeroPod operates as a stand-alone power meter. It's electronics, wind measurement system, and firmware are improved compared to PowerPod, and in our testing, we do see improved performance in cross-wind situations in particular. I'm NOT knocking PowerPod...it remains a great product. At present, Aer...

To recalibrate, connect PP to Isaac, then use the "Device/Setup Device..." wizard. This will put your PP into calibration mode.
