Re: Powerpod V3 (red label) keeps losing pairing info

Hi, that advice seemed to do the trick. Powerpod connected and recorded. It still worries me though when after a start from say traffic lights there's just zero on the device (head unit - Karoo v1) for some seconds. Is this to be expected as it kicks in? Anyhow thanks, Gordon If you are seeing a de...

Re: firmware 8.01

Hi John and others, I have now used the firmware 8.01 on my PPv3 for 200km rides and the experience was pleasent :D I have made the following observations: 1) Connection is more stable and reliable 2) Numbers seems more correct and no sudden peaks or drops 3) Pairing is quicker - almost instantly 4...

Re: Problem with Saris speed sensor

I'm not familiar with a Saris speed sensor. Please send photos of it as mounted on your bike. Are you using it with a magnet? If so send photos of magnet/sensor too. Also, there is a huge amount of noise in the speed sensor channel; this is the likely cause of low speed readings. You might want to t...

The calibrate button does nothing with PowerPod; ignore it.

I don't know about the Wahoo battery level feature. Garmin units report battery level correctly.

Re: iBike Ride Files Say Zero Miles

Most likely you are press-holding the button for 12 seconds, causing a hard reset.

When you connect your unit to Isaac the correct time/date will be stored. Make sure to click your button only to awaken your unit.

Re: Powerpod V3 (red label) keeps losing pairing info

I think your unit is operating just fine. For the first 90 seconds of a ride the unit automatically self calibrates. During this period you might see low (or high) watts. In your case watts were low. I checked a few places in your ride. On the flats, your speed was about 20 km/h. Measured watts for ...

Re: Is my PowerMeter calibrated? Feels like too low power.

Thanks, John. I know that when pairing cadence and speed sensor: when cadence is paired it blinks red few times then turns solid after pairing speed sensor. What pattern should I be looking for in hr sensor pairing while at the same time I am repairing cadence and speed sensors? When you mean out a...

Re: Out-and-back calibration ride - Acceptable?

The calibration looks fine, although at mile 22 it looks like your unit was bumped out of position. PP automatically corrected this problem after a few minutes. If you stopped during the ride, it is likely PP broke-up the ride file at that point. I am attaching a corrected ride file, which deletes t...

Re: Is my PowerMeter calibrated? Feels like too low power.

Your ride file shows you riding in very strong headwinds and tailwinds. In this situation it is difficult to tell if your V3 is properly calibrated, though I don't see any obvious problem in your profile settings. I suggest you attach your HR strap to your body, then do a new sensor pairing (press-h...

Could you advise how to redo the out-and-back cal ride? I will redo the cal ride and will go for an actual ride before sending the data in here for your review. The ride file you reference in your original email is not the cal ride. It is a "normal" ride; .ibr ride file. Please post that ride file.
