Re: unable to force new pairing yellow status after upgrade to 6.40

Your PP did not successfully complete the scan process (red flashes at the end of the scan).

Do a hard reset of the unit, then wake up your sensors, then do a new scan. You need to see a solid green at the end of the scan process.

Re: Two different Macs -- Two different bikes -- One Powerpod

You can get the same profiles on both computers with either of these methods: 1) Attach PP to your computer, go to Edit/Edit Profiles, and click the "Extract from Device" button. This will transfer the active profile to your computer. Do this for both computers 2) Download a ride file with the profi...

Re: CRR and CDA recommended values for MTB

1) For 29 x 2 , you can figure out in millimeters the circumference of your wheels, then enter that manually in your profile 2) PP measures barometric pressure, then converts that to elevation. Weather changes cause changes in baro pressure, so that accounts for the elevation changes. You can correc...

Re: New Firmware 640 for PowerPod

So, to clarify. Using PP on two different bikes. Have set profiles for each bike (each bike has its own sensors). Have done Out and Back for each bike. When I move from one bike to another, do I have to switch the active profile using Isaac, or will the PP just see the sensors and switch profiles? ...

Down your ride files into both computers.

After downloading them you can extract the profiles from the ride files. You can name the profiles as you wish.

Re: New Firmware ??

If I understand this properly, you have two bikes, each with a unique speed sensor. If that is so you can create a profile for each bike. You'll need to do a cal ride for each bike. I also understand you to say that you have two different HR straps that you use with each bike. For the bike you're ri...

Re: unable to force new pairing yellow status after upgrade to 6.40

Hi John Followed the instructions you provided in the PP firmware forum, and for some reason I have not been able to get the yellow light for a new O&B cal ride. I think I"m following the instructions: wake up sensors (Garmin magnetless speed on front wheel, Garmin magnetless cadence on crankarm, S...

Re: PowerStroke stopped working after latest update

Your cadence data is missing; this is why PS is not working. Make sure your cadence sensor is functioning properly; you can check this on your bike computer. If it is, then do a hard-reset of your PP. Do a short ride to confirm that you're receiving cadence. Please post the ride file. If you still d...

Re: AeroPod and mountain biking

Yes, you can remove the pitot tube. Make sure you do an O&B for this configuration.

AeroPod extends ¾ inch below the tab. For comparison, PowerPod extends 2 inches below the tab.

Re: Avoiding recalibration at the start of a ride

Whenever PP is awake and the wheel with the speed sensor is moving, PP thinks you're riding the bike. So, after the ride, the bike is in a funny position, for example lying on its side, with the wheel turning, that could screw-up the tilt calibration. To prevent this, you can click the button five t...

Re: New Firmware 640 for PowerPod

If you have previously set up four profiles, with sensor IDs for each, you won't have to do ANY new O&B rides. Automatic profile selection will switch profiles (or you can switch profiles using Isaac) The O&B is triggered only when you manually initiate a sensor scan, by press-holding the button for...

Re: AeroPod and mountain biking

For 2 and 3, AeroPod is perfect.

The faster response of AeroPod FW to changing slope conditions will serve you well on MTB. It should allow more flexibility for full suspension applications.

I would get AeroPod for 2 and 3, and see how well it works for you for 1.

Re: New Firmware 640 for PowerPod

PP has 4 profiles. Only one profile is active at a time.

The active profile is either the profile you used from your previous ride, or the profile you set manually in Isaac.

So, when you do a sensor pairing, the sensor IDs will be written into the active profile.

Re: Avoiding recalibration at the start of a ride

I have the latest firmware. Displaying zero watts or unfeasibly high watts for the first half mile was still a minor irritation. My bike lives in the garage where there is no power outlet so the PowerPod can't stay on the bike. Each time you attach PP to your bike, make sure you (gently) press on t...

Re: New Firmware 640 for PowerPod

Isaac shows the correct FW version. If you're trying to do an O&B calibration, simply do a pairing process. Make sure your sensors are awake. Press-hold the button for about 4 seconds, until the green light flashes. Release the button. When pairing is successful, light will turn solid green. This sh...

Hi John, thanks for the answer. Indeed, interesting and weird. These dropouts never caught my attention. Re: Calibration! Making sure it's all good

If other riders are also seeing this, then likely there is some kind of radio interference going on. Likely there is a strong microwave signal, from something, interfering with the ANT+ signal.
