Re: Karoo 2

Thank you John for looking into this, much appreciated.

To confirm, ANT+ can connect to multiple devises at once where BLE only one device? Also, PowerPod only connects by way of ANT+?

Karoo 2

Hello, Issue: Data from ibike (distance) being sent to Karoo2 is less than actual. Last year, I started to notice that when I compared rides with the riders I was riding with. The distances from my Karoo data was always less than the riders whom I was riding with. The rides I was comparing all had t...

Colorado Triple Bypass - 10k Climbing

Hello John, Would you take a look at the attached files for me? I rode the Triple Bypass in Colorado over the weekend. During one of the feeds, the power pod started a new ride so I had to amend the two rides together. I have attached all files. One major complaint during the ride. Is there any way ...

Update FTP After Ride

Hello John, I want to update my FTP after the attached ride but want to make sure the number looks good. Based on the ride, I would like to update the new FTP to 244, however, it didn't feel like it. Can you take a look at the file to see if that would be correct? As always, keep up that great work ...

Re: All my rides have a tailwind

Thanks.

Was thinking of upgrading to the PowePod and currently have the Newton+. Do you think it would be worth upgrading or just continue using the Newton I have. I'm currently at FW 4.16.

Thanks again for developing such a versatile product, I use it on my road, cross and mountain bike.

All my rides have a tailwind

Hello,
I've tried a couple of things to try to correct the wind in all my rides. However, every ride that is recorded seems to always have a tailwind which i'm positive is not the case.

Attached is a couple of ride files and a re-calibration ride that i did.

Thanks!

Dirty Wind Port

I have been using the Newton on a couple of mountain bike races which have been generally dusty. Is there any protocol on cleaning the wind port and/or verifying that the wind port is clean and operating properly?

Thanks in advance.

Cold Weather - iBike Freezing

John, Over the past couple of days, the weather here in Chicago has been below freezing. I have had zero issues with the iBike freezing until yesterday. Yesterday morning, i turned on the iBike, turned on my lights and put on my helmet. After i got around the block, I looked down and the screen was ...

Re: A couple of things I've noticed...

We can, and will, do more to optimize battery life, but some aspects of the digital sensors surprised us when we went from "theory" to "practice". I don't see the Newton getting to the original 160 hour estimate; we are updating our website accordingly. Please remember that if y...

Re: A couple of things I've noticed...

John, i fully charged the unit on Tuesday evening. Down to 72% Thursday evening after approximately 80 miles. I know when winter gets here, that charge won't last a week. Any suggestions?

See attached recent ride file.

As a follow up, you were correct, I needed to configure the FTP.

Thanks again

Thanks for you quick response John. I will verify the FTP and send you a ride file this evening. I will monitor the battery over the next month and let you know if battery charge is still rapidly discharging

Thanks

A couple of things I've noticed...

I have a little over 320 miles on the Newton and have noticed the following: 1. The TSS and IF are way over stated on the Newton display 2. Fully charged battery lasted approximately 16 hours, no where near the 160 stated (using 5 sec) Would you please review the calibration file to determine if the...

Re: At long last, the iBike Newton!

John,
Great work! I am really excited about the new product. One quick question, i didn't see answered in this post. I currently have the indoor trainer key with the Gen III iBike, is this transferable to the Newton?

Thanks
