Re: Isaac Help File
Agreed, however the SET FILT option was a firmware upgrade so that would also require a software upgrade to update the help files. That's quite a bit of work. Here's the initial announcement,... http://www.ibikeforum.com/viewtopic.php?f=59&t=2444&p=13483&hilit=set+filt#p13483 Note that ...

Re: Isaac Help File
SET FILT came out in v6.0.2 or 6.0.3 so you won't find it in the current manuals. SET FILT only affects the display of the power numbers. It does not affect recording nor does it affect any other displays. It simply smooths out the power number for whatever your setting is: 0,2,5,10 or 30. Would be...

Thanks, I will do the cal ride and coast downs again. Sure would be nice if the Download Ride File button recognized when you had a profile and coast downs to process.

Re: Isaac Help File
Using the Help Menu in Isaac, the help file is not updated for the software version since 2010. The hardware version help file is June 2012 but does not include the Set Filt option on the Newton+. Just trying to find where the updated information is.Russ wrote:OFR,

OOps. I downloaded and erased all rides when I went I got back from cal ride, coasts and ride after. Have not figured out to process the coasts. I can find the cal ride but it is in the .ibr format as well as the coast rides.

Just received my Newton+ and charging it for first time. There is no indication on the screen that it is charging. How do you tell when it completely charged? (I have checked with Isaac and the device is connected)

Re: Some key features of the iBike Dash
Yes, the Interval workouts include color-coded zones, both for HR and for power. I am looking for Post Workout Analysis. Does that mean only Interval workouts on the iDash only will have intensity zones displayed? I was hoping for intensity zones being displayed for all workouts on the iBike softwa...

Re: Some key features of the iBike Dash
John, My kudos as well. I see that the iDash will have HR Zones. Does that mean the iBike 5 will have HR Zones displayed for all workouts on the HR Graph? And is there going to be Power Zones we can define as well? It would be nice to see when the HR / Power moves out of a blue Zone 1 into a green Z...

Re: iBike display in trainer mode
I'm sorry. I guess when you are in the interval mode you don't have cadence in the current release yet.
I am just following the Spinervals tapes with a the bunch of us in a basement so not using the interval mode.

Re: iBike display in trainer mode
I get Cadence alternating with Heart Rate when I use the trainer. You may have turn the crank and do a scan to get your all your sensors reading. I just wish the Slope would be zeroed out because when you stand up on the trainer or get up to higher cadence the slope starts showing up as it rocks bac...

Re: Flashing Upper (Speed) Window
The flashing upper window tells you the iBike is looking for a sensor. If you're about to ride off and notice it flashing, just give the wheel a spin and press the center button. The only thing that will reset a ride is pressing and holding the center button; and even then you have to press it agai...

Flashing Upper (Speed) Window
After a stopping, 30 miles into a 50 mile ride, when I started the ride again the upper window was flashing. I thought at first the battery must be low as it was in the 40's and I was still using an older battery. But after awhile I figured out the speed/climb was working as well as the cadence (fir...

Re: Trainer Profile?
I use profile 2 for my trainer sessions. When you download the trainer profile into profile 2 you won't need anything else. Turning trainer mode on overrides other settings and doesn't need any other info. Did you ever pair your sensors in profile 2? If not did you not have to pair the sensors beca...

I am getting ready to get back on my bike but only on the trainer for awhile (broke my collarbone). I jut got sensors on the old bike paired up with...

Any triathletes using new Garmin Soft HR Strap?
I am have been spoiled for the last few years with Polar's soft HR strap. But Polar does not use ANT and it is not compatible with the iBike. So I am thinking of switching over to Garmin and use their soft HR strap and probably the 310XT for swimming and running. Anybody have any feedback on the new...

Re: Garmin and iBike Sensors Interchangeable?
Thanks for the replies. I was spoiled with Polar's soft...

Garmin and iBike Sensors Interchangeable?
I can see from the answer to another question that the iBike can read the iBike sensors (I assume you mean the Garmin's cadence, speed and heart rate).
Does anyone know if the Garmins can read the iBike speed and cadence sensors?

Re: How Much Wind is Too Much for Coast Downs
As to training in ranges with power, well, there is a learning curve to getting used to riding evenly. One way to check whether it's you or a bad cal on the unit would be to do an interval set (or just a ride) on a trainer or rollers. (Assuming you've got the trainer mode unlocked on your ibike AND...

1. Such power fluctuations are not uncommon--in fact, they are probably typical. If you want to drive yourself nuts some time, ride a power tap set to display with no smoothing . . . constant power flux. (And . . . at the risk of being annoying . . . such power fluctuations COULD indicate uneven po...

How Much Wind is Too Much for Coast Downs
I am trying to get a better calibration as my power fluctuates 30 to 50 watts on the flat at steady speed after my initial shot at calibrating. I had problems on my first calibration with the coast downs but eventually find enough of incline to slow reasonably quickly to below 8 mph. But since then ...
