Re: Trouble getting Isaac > Newton connected
OK, we have lift off!!! I uninstalled the "failed" driver. Reinstalled -BUT- this time I right-clicked on the executable and "Ran as Administrator". This made the difference. The first half of the install went like before however near the end a few slightly different prompts show...

Re: Trouble getting Isaac > Newton connected
HI Fern. Good suggestion. I have this which is different than yours because perhaps I'm on Win 7??? Capture_IBike_Unspec_Dev_No_Driver.JPG Note that the device name/label is not CP210x! I assume a CP2102 is compatible and probably chosen because I'm on a 64-bit system- hence the "x" on the...

Trouble getting Isaac > Newton connected
I've succesfully used the Isaac/Newton package for about a year now on Win XP Pro SP3. I've now gotten a brand new Win7 Pro 64bit box. I've installed the Isaac software latest version this afternoon and the SIL USB driver. Plug the Newton in, ensure it's awake, launch Isaac. First thing I encounter ...

1 for 2.
Unplug that dag-gone iAeroIII! What's that doing there anyway...
Racr Menu - shows CAD is on. Still shows Cal on the operating screen. Let me take this out for a real ride. Maybe it needs to see more activity.
Thanks, Fern.

Newton - 2 issues - USB and Cal
New Newton just arrived. Mounted. All-in-one sensors set up. "SPCD Found." I am unable to get this to connect to the Windows XP PC. It connected one time last week when it came in. Today - nada! Battery at 99%. Here's the precise exact connection sequence I use. See if it agrees with yours...

@Velocomp - Hi John. Missed my trip to DRB this year. {Tears flowing} Ordered my Newton (and just under the wire...) ;) I may just forego the trade-in. But hey - Strava - gotta have it. Patience is a virtue... Were you aware of this thread? http://www.ibikeforum.com/viewtopic.php?f=26&t=22...

Boy! I can't wait to try this tomorrow! It'll be interesting to see how the time difference between the two devices/universes works out. But Wait a minute...hold the phone. Re: What trainer profile would YOU use???
Well, Fernando - let me ask this. Of the ones that John and his team provide (and they do a good job of keeping them updated) which of them would you choose for, say, no resistance whatsoever? I really wasn't thinking to have an "infinite" number of profiles; God no! I have no idea how to ...

Re: What's my HR doing up there???
Alright - thanks for the info.
In fact, I remember now, I had just tighened up the strap just before that particular ride.
It really caught my attention too because that has never happened to me before and I've owned iBike since day 1 just about.

Re: What's my HR doing up there???
OK - static electricity - hmmm. It was a chilly day - temps in the mid-50s. So that's plausible, I guess if static charge can cause the HR sensor(s) to jump. If it was for 10-20 seconds maybe I'd think just something goofy. But, geez - it's about 5 minutes long! Guess I'll go ground myself! Tonight'...

Gravity
Hi - I've been searching around for this answer. Maybe someone here knows... iBike software vers 4.0.4. I see a "Gravity" reading of "-1268" - that's minus 1_2_6_8. It seems high (low). What is that indicating? I guess what I really don't know is what "Gravity" readings...

What's my HR doing up there???
Hello - I have an iBike iAero Pro Gen-III. Normally on any given ride, I have a max HR of 170 - I've used this for years as my theoretic max. It never goes above this - I know because I know where I put a max effort in on a ride. Again, it's been this for I-don't-know-how-long. Except for this past ...

Condensation
I was out riding the other day with my iBike Gen III Pro. I got caught in a mini-rain storm. It then turned humid after I got out of the storm. Condensation gathered on the inside of the iBike and covered the bottom third of the screen. After about 10-15 minutes, air and temperature apparently got i...

iAero III - keeps losing connectivity to sensors
Hello - I've been a happy iBike iAero-III owner for the past year and a half. Near flawless operation until just this last couple of months. I stopped riding back in Oct 2010 for reasons of my own. I came to Florida for the winter and brought my exact same bike with the exact same iBike with me that...

Can I ask for some suggestions on what people here use for tracking their cycling training? Hi -
I've looked all over and can't find an explanation for "Pin Failure" and "Pin Off" which appears on the display during the beginning of a ride (first 5 minutes).
Thank you.

Two questions on iBike-4
Hi -
I have a recent ride file that has a speed scale of 0 mph to 100 mph. This makes reading the results rather difficult. Is there a way to "re-scale" the speed graph on iBike-4 to something more in line with the norm, say 0 mphto 30 mph?
Any help appreciated.

Re: First Fitness Test - some questions
OK, folks - I get it. Probably will retest next week. I really pushed out a lot of effort yesterday for it and I know if I try again too soon, I'll not get a good effort to measure from. I'm lucky to be in a really good area for this test. Delray Beach FL and A1A north is about as perfect as you can...

AHHhhh! (Light dawns on Marble-head...)
I get it! These three values are almost "sub-sets" of the total. Going to make a suggestion that this explanation be more explicit in the documentation.
Thanks a million.

OK, I've looked all over the documents I've downloaded and I can't find many of the following data/reports explained anywhere. Maybe I'm not looking in the right place(s). First Fitness Test - some questions
I did my very first fitness test today using iAero v4. I need some more information about the results. At the end of the test, I got a 1.67 W/kG or a level one (male). However, re-reading the instructions and refreshing memory post-test, I did not get a chance pre-test to enter my weight nor gender....

Oh, OK, I wasn't sure. This system operates a bit different than others I've used.
Very good. In fact, I now see that the Outbox is empty which probably means the two addressees have logged in per your specs.
Thanks to you!

Re: No cadence with iBike SW version 4.0.2- update
OK, rode 42 miles this morning. Cadence consistent during the ride. All was well. Got back, connected up, downloaded ride and indeed cadence is present and just by rote memory looks to be exactly the kind of ride (cadence) I was doing. Is it fixed? Does this software "self-heal"? Only diff...

Re: No cadence with iBike SW version 4.0.2 - update
Today's 24 mile recovery ride is now showing correct cadence in the iBike software. So all the data including cadence did make the transfer over from the iAero to the database. Tried to retrieve yesterday's "problem" ride but it's flat (of course) because the datapoints are all at ".0...

OK - as long as someone knows it's happening (and it's not me leaving some setting unchecked...). Incidentally, incase Travis is monitoring, open up the .CSV in Excel - all the cadences are showing ".001", so whatever data is being stored in iAero, isn't making it over to the file. Will st...
