Re: Wind Question & how do I correct it?
John,
Thank you for looking at the file. Sure would like to know why all my rides now average around a 3 mph tailwind.

Wind Question & how do I correct it?
I have owned and used iBike/Newton for the past 6 years. For 5 & !/2 years it has always seemed to be accurate with wind stats. In the last 1/2 year, it has never given me a ride where the wind, is greater than the speed. A common experience before, those were the days where there was no wind, t...

Re: Advanced Stats display
My bad, FTP was set to 0 and this threw the other stats way out of kilter. Went back to using previous FTP, and all the stats are back. (IF/TSS/VI)
Again, thanks for being so prompt with the return of my unit, 6 days out & back across the country, you guys are the greatest.

Advanced Stats display
I recently sent back my Newton for repair and you guys were great, and returned it within a week. Awesome service. So I needed to recalibrate the Newton, new profile, etc.. Did all that, no problems there. Just downloaded a ride file. In the stats box, previously the line between HR and CDA/CRR show...

Re: What has changed???
Please post a ride file that reflects these changes. Attached is a copy of yesterday's ride. Stats on the Newton at the end of the ride indicated total distance of 16.5 and total time of 1:01:16. All other measurements on the unit were pretty much spot on. Time was off by only 3 seconds, I am not c...

What has changed???
I have been an iBike user since 2008 & have upgraded units and firmware/software when each was offered. All of my history with the units have been pretty much spot on in terms of measurements, but somewhere in one of the upgrades within the last couple of months something has changed. I am ridin...

Re: Where's My Newton?
Received my Newton today, can't wait to calibrate it tomorrow. I have two issues: 1) I did not receive the extra universal handlebar mount as indicated on my receipt from April 21st. 2) In regards to returning my Gen III unit, was Velocomp providing a label, or do we send it back certified, so that ...

Re: Newton first impressions
Was that from the basic set-up, or did you include coast downs as part of your set-up?bjrmd wrote:Did about 50 miles today and was very close to my powertap on average--1-2% but part of the way had a blocked wind port from rain.

Speed not working
I have a Gen III iAero that I upgraded from a Gen II iAero in November. The speed sensor has always worked on both units. Yesterday, while out on a ride the unit stopped measuring speed about 3 miles from the end of the ride. I have checked the battery voltages in all the units and they were all in ...

Re: Cadence data not imported by iBike 3 for Windows
The iPro will switch automatically from CAL to RPM when a cadence signal is detected. John, Does that mean as long as the Gen III (iAero or iPro) units are paired, when you stop for a few minutes and the sensors shut down, that the Gen III units will start recording data as soon as a signal is dete...

Re: Setting Elevation
John, Concerning the altitude accuracy, I would agree that it is accurate. But I do have a question, I ride a recovery route that is the same a couple of days a week. Most times the accuracy of elevation is within 20-30 feet over the course of the ride. Occasionally though I will get an descrepancy ...

Re: Weird Speed Measurements Lately
I wonder if there could be a small chance that the carbon spokes are throwing off the wireless signal. I know I have set up Polar sensors before on an all carbon bike and they had to be on the same side of the handlebars as the watch computer. There was something about the signal crossing over the ...

3 questions - CADENCE, CLIMBING & CALORIES
(1) CADENCE - It appears that the iAero, averages cadence for the whole ride. This includes the descents where there is very little if any pedaling. The reason I ask is that while getting acquainted with my iAero unit; I have kept utilizing my Polar S720. The average cadence measured on the Polar is...
