Re: PowerPod lag

Weird to know that my PP mount angle is changing during steep accelerations, since it is securely mounted on my front mount as you can see in the picture bellow. Handlebars are secure also and very stiff. The only thing that is not finished in this bike is the head spacers. This is because I've moun...

Re: PowerPod lag

Hi John, Can you see what's going on with this last ride? Every other Z2 ride seemed fine but today I went for a more fast paced one and I don't believe that I am in this kind of shape right now. For sure PP spiked at the very beginning of the ride but after a couple minutes if seemed to settle down...

Re: Need assistance on a ride file

I've combined the 2 files and it shows 74 kms. There's about 2 kms missing (when PP battery died). Nonetheless, Isaac tells me that the FIT file from my Wahoo don't have GPS data (which is not true), and won't let me export to Strava. That and all the fields from "Use from other ride file"...

Re: Need assistance on a ride file

Hi John, Thanks for the quick reply. Answering your topics: 1. Its a Polar H10 and it's connected by Ant+ (not BT). I don't know but can the connection issue you mention be because of that? 2. I'm aware of that but never had these erratic power readings with it before. 3. Can it alter power figures ...

Need assistance on a ride file

Hi John, Need your assistance on some issues that I've got today please. Trying to make things short but explaining you the details, I've picked up my PP bike today since my primary bike is in the LBS. Have put another speed sensor on it (was previously running a Garmin which is in my primary now an...

Re: Knowing the file date

Velocomp wrote: Mon Apr 29, 2019 7:11 am Assuming you recorded your ride with a Garmin, go to your Garmin file and export it in .tcx format. Then, import the file to Isaac using the "File/Merge File..." command. You will then add GPS data to your Isaac ride file.
Thanks John!

Re: Knowing the file date

Thanks John,

Found the activity, which is split in 2. Joined both and tried to export to Strava but Isaac tells me that there's no GPS data so it can't export to Strava.

Is there anything I can do about that?

Knowing the file date

Hi, Today my Bolt went nuts and only recorded half the ride. I was expecting to arrive home and download PP history to view my ride and upload it to Strava an TP, but can't seem to find it. I'm uploading a screenshot with all files by date added. Can you please assist me on this? Thanks. https://www...

Never had an issue with my PP, even didn't upgraded FW since it always worked flawlessly until yesterday. For the first time ever, my PP stop working and I just don't know why. It was at the middle of a ride. I've stopped for coffee with my Bolt computer marking some 100 and so watts, didn't disconn...

Re: PP, Best Bike Split and indoor VS outdoor readings

1. Yes, it is the wheel setting in PP. 28 has a circumference of 2135; 25 has a circumference of 2105. So, if your PP were set to 28, it would record 2135 / 2105 * 26.1 = 26.5 miles If you have fixed this in your PP profile then your next ride should be OK. 2. I could tell your last ride was a grou...

Re: PP, Best Bike Split and indoor VS outdoor readings

This looks like a group ride. If you have one, please post a solo ride. It does not have to be a long one... Sending you the file from today's ride. Two more things: 1. I'm seeing a slight discrepancy in the average speed, which I suspect is due to the wrong circumference in PP settings. I'm using ...

PP, Best Bike Split and indoor VS outdoor readings

Hi, It’s been awhile since I last read from this forum. I’ve returned to ask if PP can be used to predict bike splits like Best Bike Splits do. Since PP measures real CdA and elevation, I think this to be possible right? I also have the upgraded GPS track key installed, so probably an added bonus fo...

Download the ride file to Isaac, then use the File/Export command to send to TP or Strava. Thanks for the tip. Can I ask for a future PP request? Upload to Strava and TP

I understand that PP does work through my bike computer to give me live data, but can I link PP data to Strava and TP and send my ride data to thos e APPs directly from PP? Or is it mandatory to upload from my bike computer?

I ask this because I find PP's data more accurate.

Thanks for the instructions and quick reply.

So in reality, it's best to shut it off for a break if I want to move the bike around (lift it), and do the merging afterwards, right?

Cheers.

merging 2 files

Only today I've became aware that I shouldn't have shut my PP down for a coffee break, since it created 2 files for my ride. One before the break an one after. Just to make sure, I want to ask if PP has to stay on during a break. I've shut it off since the bike was lifted to be parked near the site ...

Re: Please review files and assist me on getting things right

Please post a ride file after you did your cal ride. You should be OK with the slight change in wheel circumference. Clinchers is a good choice. Don't know if it will be enough for you to draw any conclusion since it was a mere back home ride (after iCal), doing only recovery work, but here it goes.

Been reading a lot about it after your insight on this matter and it's incredible how I and other fellow riders were mislead all th...

The thing to do is to pick your preferred way of getting the data, then stick with it. Consistency is sometimes more important than absolute accuracy.
That’s true. Thanks anyway for your insights on this matter.
