Hi to all,
I was just updated to FW 9.0, so I came here to see what is all about, but I believe it is so new as I see no notice of that

Hi,
I have updated the V3 Powerpod to the latest FW and did a calibration check - could you please see if everything is all right? Thanks,
Serban

PowerPod lights work but no USB connection
Hi John, After last ride a couple of days ago, in which the unit recorded all well on my Garmin device, I cannot connect it to Isaac at all. I tried different cable, different USB port, even resurrected my old iMac to try on a different computer but no matter what I tried the unit does not connects ...

Re: Crr, CdA + calibration advice?
Your ride files all look fine, and the calibrations are all good. This is easy to see because your wind speed is approximately the same as your bike speed, as it should be for an out-and-back ride. John, starting from your quote above, what approximately means, I see sometimes things like speed 28 ...

Re: Power very fluctuating so I did a calibration ride but...
Hi John, Today is a sunny with no wind day so I went out and did a calibration ride which came with these results: Aero 0.366 Wind Scaling 1.000 CdA 0.366 Fric 11.212 The one that you amended it for me after that ride was: Aero 0.439 Wind Scaling 1.212 CdA 0.362 Fric 11.158 If I apply this new calib...

Re: Power very fluctuating so I did a calibration ride but...
But I still have a question:
I go out on a ride with PP recording, Than I reach the place I want to do a calibration. As PP is still recording and do not want to wait till it goes automatically on hybernation, how do I stop the recording and start O&B calibration? This is where I am not sure.

Re: Power very fluctuating so I did a calibration ride but...
I found an old reply also from you in this forum: If you are using FW 641, you can most definitely calibrate on the fly, without using Isaac. You press-hold the button for 4 seconds, to do a new scan (make sure there are no other bikes close by). The scan will force PP into an O&B calibration. t...

Re: Power very fluctuating so I did a calibration ride but...
John, I remember reading somewhere that there is a button combination to start a Calibration Ride while out on a ride. Was I dreaming and there is only the procedure that has to be started from the computer?

With this one the average power drops from 226 to 173W, if you think this is ok, then I would use it, but I definetely felt more tired than this average...

Hi, I need some help here as I have a feeling that something is wrong... I am using the PowerPod with two bikes a street one (Scott Speedster 10) and MTB (Cube LTD Pro). Lately the profile for the road one is giving me very high fluctuations so today I did a calibration ride. It was some wind during...

Isaac 4.1 won't work with macOS Catalina
If you have installed an earlier version of Isaac/Mac, such as Isaac/Mac/4.1, this version of Isaac will no longer work when you upgrade. We have a new version of Isaac, Isaac/Mac/5.1, which works with macOS Catalina and earlier versions of macOS. Here is where to get Isaac/Mac/5.1 https://velocompf...

Why don't you do an IOS app to be able to set up and change bike profiles. That all I need to do.

Re: Isaac Mac and Catalina MacOS
Hmmm, although I can see your point, for some of us who solely rely on mac platform with impossibility to run Windoes under macos such a move would mean actually moving away from PowerPod and Aeropod... Quite unpleasant!

MTB Calibration - good or bad?
Morning,
I did a Best Accuracy calibration on my MTB bike and after that I did a short ride but I have the feeling the the power numbers are too high. Could you please check my calibration to see if there is anything wrong there?
Thanks,
Meste

Re: Calibration OK?
iBike_03_29_2018_1304_4_km_CalRide.ibr I am also interested to see if I did the calibration correctly - I have attached the files. What I find different is that the max power on Isaac (270W) differs from the max power on what my Garmin Fenix 5 recorded (572W) - quite a lot. Upon import I was asked ...

Re: PowerStroke and New Garmin speed/cadence sensor (no magn
Your routine is fine. As long as you start your ride in the same crank position you will be fine. So just to be sure I am getting this right, if Velocomp could please confirm if this protocol is correct: A- it does not matter where the left crank is positioned when the magnetless cadence sensor goe...

This post is quite old, and I would like to know from people who used Garmin sensors if this approach (always start pedalling from the same place) it worked. Thanks

Bug report
I discovered if, on my MACOS HIgh Sierra I have enabled Documents to sync on iCloud, Isaac crashes when I try to open a ride. After I disabled icloud it does not crash. However, there is a further bug, the default location works, but although I have set in Prefs another location, this new one (even ...

Is it possible to copy the device profiles from one computer to another. On the new one I see only untitled 1 untitled 2 or something similar and not the names I have created.
EDIT: found it myself
Thanks,
