Re: Please help with calibration across 2 bikes
Well said. Since I do many training session in the threshold zone, it is important for me to have consistent power readings across the 2 bikes. I am not too worried about lack of accuracy of the power readings, but I need consistency across the 2 bikes. After I change manually the CRR in the MTB pro...

Re: Please help with calibration across 2 bikes
That makes sense and I will experiment with out and back rides. It is important to me that LTHR and FTP are consistence since I consider training in that range most important. The question remains about the Crr since it is manually set in the profile. Options: a) use Crr = 0.006 and count on dyn Crr...

Re: Please help with calibration across 2 bikes
Thank you for your fast answer! For both rides, I was riding on the same type of road surface (asphalt). Typically I would ride the MTB on gravel, fire roads and easy single tracks. Do I need to keep the Crr as is and count on a more accurate power when I effectively drive on gravel? Or do I need to...

Please help with calibration across 2 bikes
Hello, I would appreciate your checking my calibration across my road bike and my mountain bike. I am at my wits end after mulitple calibration rides. I take extra precaution in the road for the calibration (no traffic, no wind gust, no turns or significant slope), and it is the same for both bikes....

PowerPod sensitivity to slope, wind
Which parameter should I tweak to lower the sensitivity to slope variation, and better account for front/back wind gusts? My perceived rate of exertion is consistent with power readings stability on flats with no wind, but the power reading seems to increase too fast with small variations of uphill ...

Change in rider/load weight
The weight of the rider and of the bike are necessary when the calibration is done.
What if the weight changes (backpack/no-backpack, 1 vs 3 bottles, loss/gain of body weight)? Is it necessary to update the profile accordingly? Is it necessary to recalibrate?

Power reading in wind gusts
Hello, I noted that the power reading gets really low when riding in 10-20mph wind gusts at an angle. When facing the gusts, the power tend to go up as expected (maybe not as much as the perceived effort, honestly). But at an angle (let's say 20-100degrees), the power drops to 100W and comes back to...

Please check MTB calibration: power too high
Hello, I have not succeeded in creating a good profile for my MTB. The power reading looks abnormally high (compared with perceived effort and the readings on my road bike). Can you please check my Cda and crr values? The Cda looks similar to my road bike, but my riding position is very different ob...

Re: How do I get more efficient?
Oh! Cool. I just checked this forum today after seeing not much answers. Thank you very much for your thoughtful response. It makes a lot of sense. When I pedal in power zone 2, around 90rpm cadence, the right foot motion is fine, and the left part shows that I am "mashing" the pedal at th...

How do I get more efficient?
So, great! I can see the bike unnecessary movement, the lack of efficiency of the turning of the cranks.
I don't know what do to about it, though.
Does somebody has some advice on how to get better at this?

Please check calibration: power seems high?
Hello, I have just leveled the unit to have the letters horizontal using a standard level, and I went for a cal ride. Took me a couple of trials to have a clean in and out. However, now my readings look pretty high. Can you please check everything is OK? iBike_03_07_2018_0738_3_Miles_CalRide.ibr iBi...
