Re: Check calibration ride
Here's the link to Strava in case it helps https://www.strava.com/activities/1559907553 This ride includes the the time I spent doing the PP calibration. Obviously the ride was recorded using the Assioma pedals. The 4km mark is where the PP would have started to record actual ride. Selecting only th...

Re: Check calibration ride
The 155 comes from either uploading the pedal power meter data to my Wahoo Bolt to Strava or taking the FIT file and importing into Golden Cheetah. Even taking every recorded entry from that FIT file and dumping the power values in Excel gives me an average of 150 watts. 113 just sounds very low com...

Re: Check calibration ride
Here's a ride after a new calibration. What's interesting is that the DFPM average is much lower than it should be. Isaac reports average of 113 while Strava and Golden Cheetah report an average of 155. The powermeter I am using are the Assioma pedals. They should be well calibrated as the power rea...

Re: Check calibration ride
Believe me, the difference in wind was real!
So do you want me to do new calibration ride and a ride using the new calibrated profile and then post both?
My commuter is still a road bike so regular hoods and drops handlebars.

Re: Check calibration ride
Sorry about that. I didn't realize it couldn't be off the calibration ride.
Here's today's commute using the profile.

Check calibration ride
Hi, I'm on my 2nd year with the Powerpod. I always had issues calibrating it correctly but this winter I got some Assioma power pedals. I'm hoping to calibrate the Powerpod correctly by using DFPM and once setup my commuter bike can go back to it's old pedals and I'll leave the Powerpod on that bike...

Re: Bad readings from first 6 to 10 mins of rides
If you remove the PP from it's mount it will take about 8 minutes to recalibrate so this is normal. It needs to figure out the tilt % before power numbers are accurate.

Re: Which smart trainers does powerpod recognise
Wouldn't you be looking for a "dumb" trainer? Most if not all smart trainers calculate and broadcast power over ANT+ and/or BLE. Unless you want to do ERG mode on a smart trainer on which case powerpod won't help. If it's a dumb or classic trainer then the best thing to do is to launch Isa...

Extract profile from ride modifies stats of the same ride
I'm trying to extract the profile from the ride I did yesterday and when I do a switch profile after-the-ride the stats like average power change.
If I extracted the profile from the same ride it should be unchanged shouldn't it? The numbers for aero and friction are the same.

Re: calibration ride
Here's the 2 files. It was the same ride with the first portion alone on bike without anything attached. 2nd is with trailer and kids. I believe it was set to the profile of my road bike and numbers actually seem pretty close to me. The weight of me and bike is about 92kg. With trailer and kids, 142...

Re: calibration ride
Since I have 3 young children most of my rides consist of a hybrid/MTB pulling a child carrier. I attached a photo. I saw your reply to a comment about pulling a trailer that you posted on DCRainmaker's review page about simply adding the weight off everything and Powerpod will take care of the rest...

Re: calibration ride
Thanks for the reply John. That brought down the avg watts to 149w which is probably much closer to reality. For riding with different bike with a trailer, any tips on getting proper calibration? Is the friction value what should be most different? I played with total weight and that doesn't seem to...

New calibration ride
Ok well I've been trying all week to get this thing to work with little success. Today however, I was able to take my road bike, on my own, and do a calibration + a 30km ride. The graphs look much better to me but I think the power numbers are little high. My average watts was 230w which would be gr...

calibration ride
Hi, just recently got my PowerPod and excited to use it. What had me decide on this product is because I want the ability to switch bikes easily. More often I will be using a hybrid bike with a trailer and 1-2 kids riding with me. I set the my weight and add bike, trailer, kids, etc. to the profile ...
