Re: Almost fixed my Cadence = 65335 issue
And we are fixed. I followed the instructions above, and links to the photos are below. The problem was that my Garmin had the PowerPod twice. Once with an ID number and once with the word PowerPod. I had a hypothesis that that was the issue so I deleted one from the Garmin (I chose the one with the...

Re: Almost fixed my Cadence = 65335 issue
Wow! Thanks for that super thorough post! That all makes a ton of sense. I wish I knew what changed that caused the rift between my Garmin and my PP. They got along so well for months. I'll give all your suggestions a whirl and let you know. Thanks for the awesomely high level of support here for tu...

Re: Almost fixed my Cadence = 65335 issue
I totally get that and understand. I'll give this a whirl next weekend. I like the PP a lot. I hope it works. We have sold thousands and thousands of PP. Most owners pair PP to Garmin units. Other than your PP, we have had zero reports of pairing problems. This, and the fact that your replacement PP...

Re: Almost fixed my Cadence = 65335 issue
Unfortunately it is that or abandon the PowerPod. My Garmin works 100% fine in every other way until it sees the PowerPod. Your PowerPod is working perfectly. Most certainly you can reset it but I don't think that will have any effect. Note that if you reset PP your date/time will be wrong until the...

Re: Almost fixed my Cadence = 65335 issue
Got it.
To be clear, the 65335 is what the cadence display shows, not the cadence sensor ID.
I worked with Garmin already (before I contacted you guys) on this and they thought the Cadence Sensor was bad so they sent me a new one.
What about a reset on my PowerPod and start over?

Re: Almost fixed my Cadence = 65335 issue
It is absolutely paired. As soon as the green light comes on, the cadence shows 65335.
Also, every other thing works with the Garmin. HR, Cadence, Speed sensors work perfectly... Until I turn the PowerPod on.
Could this be a cause?
My PowerPod is paired twice.

Almost fixed my Cadence = 65335 issue
In this thread http://www.ibikeforum.com/viewtopic.php?f=93&t=4349 I reported an issue with my PowerPod showing bad data on my Garmin for both Cadence and Power. Velocomp fixed the USB issue (awesomely painlessly fast). But the display issue is still there. Everything is paired. I did a hard res...

Sounds like it is damaged for sureBBQcyclist wrote:Did you yank or toque the PP charging port's usb connection by any chance?
It may be a potential hardware "achilles heel" of PP...if not handled with care.

Re: Only showing 0 watts after changing cadence battery
All right. In trying to download the .ibr files, I think I found the problem. I had trouble connecting the PowerPod to my computer and the USB port looks like it is buggered. I have to push the USB cable in with more than usual force and hold it to the left (looking from the rear) to make the connec...

Re: Only showing 0 watts after changing cadence battery
Hi John: i followed the instructions above. The sensors work fine with the Garmin with the PowerPod off. I have separate sensors for speed and cadence, the most recent ones that don't have magnets. I also swapped in a new cadence sensor to rule that out. Got the same result. "65535" on the...

Re: Only showing 0 watts after changing cadence battery
Here was today's PowerPod behavior. I waited a few minutes after my ride started to turn on the PowerPod to make sure the wheelspeed and cadence sensors were working fine. They were. I pushed the PowerPod button and it glowed steady green immediately. The cadence showed 63553 (or something like that...

Re: Only showing 0 watts after changing cadence battery
OK. I re-paired the PowerPod flowwing steps 4A through 4D on the instructions sheet. Nice steady green light. Then things got weird. FIrst my cadence displayed 65335 (or some combo of those digits) and power displayed 0 After a few minutes, the cadence started registering my actual cadence, but powe...

Only showing 0 watts after changing cadence battery
I changed my cadence battery last week and since then, my PowerPod seems to have forgotten something and only shows zero watts on my Fenix 5x. Was all fine before that. The cadence sensor works fine.

Re: Possibly abnormally high power today?
Hey John:
Thanks for the quick response... I imagine the 318 was high too
I ran the "check calibration" and clicked "send to iBike". Is that all I need to do?
Thanks!
Mike

Possibly abnormally high power today?
I had a nice long hard ride (one of my hardest efforts for sure) today and it seemed like my PowerPod was reading high. My Garmin Fenix 5x showed a huge jump in estimated FTP from a previous 318w to 354w as well. I updated to the latest firmware on Wednesday this week. I had to get off and walk a fe...

Is there a way to find out when firmware updates are made without bringing the bike/powerpod into the house?

Re: Powerpod losing pairing with Garmin Edge 520
hmmm. it is only flashing green. i repaired (re-paired?) it at the beginning of my long ride on Sunday and then figured out the pairing was lost on the 520 as well. i have the super cool magnet-less sensor that came with the 520 on my front hub. this is a new issue after a few happy weeks of riding ...

Powerpod losing pairing with Garmin Edge 520
On my last 2 rides, when I fired up my PowerPod and my Garmin Edge 520, the PowerPod had lost its pairing with the 520.

Re: Separate speed and cadence sensor pairing?
Thanks John! Your support here was one of the deciding factors for going with the PowerPod.
So, I just need to do a pairing ride to get the cadence paired? Awesome.
I noticed it took quite a while to get the speed sensor paired spinning the front wheel in my family room.

Separate speed and cadence sensor pairing?
I have a Garmin 520 with separate speed and cadence sensors. It paired right up with the speed sensor. Am I missing out on data or PowerPod goodness without cadence data? Can I pair with both sensors? Should I?

Just got mine! Aero frame question
I just got my PowerPod and will be setting up today. I have a Felt AR aero frame that is quite slippery. Do I need to do anything other than the standard calibration?
