Re: Powerpod V3 Lite - Issues

Great!

Will I need to recalibrate with the new tilt angle or will PP work it out for me?

Thanks John. Appreciate the guidance

Just ordered one

Re: Powerpod V3 Lite - Issues

Yes, it was very misty alright on the day for the ride above. I had wondered if rain was an issue, but thought that there was a drain in the unit to let water out. I had the original PP and had no issue with rain ever. Is rain an known issue for PP Lite? I live in Ireland and so we get a nice bit of...

Re: Powerpod V3 Lite - Issues

Ah ok cool. Wasn't aware of the internal limits.

So what about the other inconsistent rides? What goes wrong do you think?

Re: Powerpod V3 Lite - Issues

I've also just completed another ride with it, about 60km out and back and it seemed to work well for the whole ride. I've included the iBike file and a link to my strava file. The iBike file looks like it just captured a couple of miles in total. Yet, I had watt readings that all seemed accurate, f...

Re: Powerpod V3 Lite - Issues

Hey there,

I've attached 2 images. The PP is centrally positioned, with nothing in front of it. What's strange, is that it has worked well in the past. I got it in April/May 2020, and it worked well I think until about August. I've had no change in mounting since.

Powerpod V3 Lite - Issues

Hi there, Attaching two files.....my Strava recording using a Wahoo Elemnt Bolt and my PowerPod file. A few month back, you sent me a corrected profile which I've been using and out of the blue, the power appears to be inaccurate again. I am meticulous in how I mount the powerpod, tilting it forward...

Re: Powerpod V3 Lite - Issues

I'll hang tight :)

But what would have caused the wind sensor calibration to go off and how would I notice it being wrong?

Powerpod V3 Lite - Issues

I have a V3 since April 2020. Mostly it's been ok, but every now and then I have a ride where the power goes to zero or records very low watts. This is after the powerpod has been charged fully before the ride. Attaching rides from Saturday last so I can figure out what the issue is. I'm about to se...

Powerpod V3 Lite - How much battery left?

Is there a way to find out how much battery charge I have left on a Powerpod V3 Lite?

Re: Powerpod Gen1 to V3 Lite - Battery Query

20 hours....ok that's pretty good and liveable with. I saw the rebate option, but since I live in Ireland and once I pay for the return of the gen1 unit to get the rebate, the value of the Gen1 unit has diminished. I only have 1 bike, so if profiles is all the full V3 gives me, then I've no need. I'...

Powerpod Gen1 to V3 Lite - Battery Query

Hi guys,

I'm a long time powerpod user, with a Gen1 ANT+ unit from 2016. The battery doesn't last too long on this unit unfortunately, I sometimes have to charge it mid ride (on a long day).

How long should a V3 Lite powerpod battery last?

PP showing 0 Watts on wahoo elemnt bolt

I've just completed day 1 of a 4 day sportive and frustratingly my powerpod stopped working after about 60km. Not for the first time. After a stop, I turn the pp back on and the wahoo shows 0 Watts. I try resetting it, I try repairing it with sensors, I replaced the batteries in the speed and cadenc...

Downhill Power

Hi, Love my powerpod, does a great job for the most part, but for one thing. When I am travelling at speed, downhill, pedaling.....sometimes hard, sometimes not, depending on the situation.....but going at speed. Let's say I am hitting 60km/h and pedaling relatively gently, but with some pressure. H...

Pairing HR strap with PP

Hi,

I have speed and cadence sensors paired, but I notice a slot in Isaac for the HR strap. Must we pair the HR strap with PP for more accurate readings or does it matter?

Alan.

Re: Very High Power Figures at the Start of the Ride

I had the same problem again on a recent ride. File is attached. I did as you said, tilted it forward until it stopped, but power was really high until PP sorted it out. Problem is, this huge power spike is messing up my stats that end up on Garmin connect and Strava. I can correct it after of cours...

Re: Very High Power Figures at the Start of the Ride

Oddly enough, I did that rotation forward before I started out. I wonder did it get knocked back as I was getting ready.

Thanks for the analysis

Appreciate it.

Re: Very High Power Figures at the Start of the Ride

Unfortunately, I have already corrected the file.

Next time it happens, I'll come back to you. It's the second time I've had spikes in the 1000's, both now corrected.

Re: Very High Power Figures at the Start of the Ride

Similar to the OP, I was on a ride last night where my first piece of the ride was recording power in the 2000's or 3000's. This happened after the 8 min mark too which was odd. I've since corrected the file, but why would it produce such high figures? In my case, I had no removed the powerpod and w...
