I meant after I bought one and used it, how, in the data, would I know whether it was stable enough or not? What, in the data, would show that it was rough or bouncing? Would you expect to see the data drop to zero, go up high, have high fluctuations, etc?

Re: Any Newton compatible mount for aero cookpit

Good point. How will I know if it's stable enough? Thanks.

Re: Any Newton compatible mount for aero cookpit

Here's the mount we're looking for:

I knew it was out there considering the popularity of this bike.

Re: Any Newton compatible mount for aero cookpit

Hi John,

I'm really looking for the equivalent of the one that came with the PowerPod - one that goes around the bar like an O - not one that screws into it.

The reason is I'll be using up those screw holes with the mount Canyon has for that bar...

Re: Any Newton compatible mount for aero cookpit

I have just purchased the Canyon Aeroad, and as such, I must find a solution to mounting my PowerPod to it.

Either that or buy a Stages.

The mount that the PowerPod came with is excellent (as it's aluminum, not plastic like so many others. I wonder if whoever made that could make one for the Aeroad?

Calculating FTP

I'm trying to calculate my FTP. This morning I went out and did a ride which included a hard 20-minute effort. I've cropped the file to reflect just that 20-minute period and have uploaded it here. Does my file look ok? Any obvious issues? The average power seems to be 229. 229 x .95 = 217. Should t...

Re: Questions & pre-ride feedback

I sent my ride file directly from Isaac on Jan 2, and received an autoresponder saying I'd hear back, but haven't heard anything.

Please let me know how to resolve this issue.

Kind of disappointed that I've had to stop using the PowerPod.

Re: Questions & pre-ride feedback

I still haven't been able to get it to work properly. I rode this morning and for the first 15 minutes no power figures showed up. It felt like it had stopped working. It was still paired, however. Then, suddenly, numbers started appearing, sometimes very high and often very low - with no apparent c...

Re: Questions & pre-ride feedback

Thanks for the reply. Allow me to post an .ibr file (is that generated by Isaac?) and post it.

Maybe I should get a K-edge mount. The quality of the mount supplied with the PP is clearly superior to the Barfly but I like the dual option the Barfly offers (Garmin on top, PP on bottom).

Questions & pre-ride feedback

First of all, thank you for such an innovative and affordable product. I'm happy to have been one of the Kickstarter backers. However, I have a few questions and issues that need solving: 1. I thought I followed the [very simple] pairing and calibration process, but somehow I don't think it worked. ...
