Re: Bad Slope Data

Shouldn't Aero watts + Rolling watts + Gravity watts = (total) Power watts? If not, why not?

Re: Bad Slope Data

This is an Isaac issue. It happens only when you post-process the Newton data. I did a ride today and checked the average and other power based data on the newton at the end: Av power, normalized power, TSS and IF were all exactly the same on the Newton and on Isaac (3.02). So how can it be an Isaa...

Re: Feature request - Handling Profiles

The way I finally arrived at to address this which seems easiest to me is: To check profiles: Go to Device>Set up Newton>Next. This displays the currently loaded profiles. I then hit Close to exit. To load profiles: Edit Profiles>select desired from list>select desired "Set Active Profile in De...

Re: Bad Slope Data

So a few questions regarding this bug: Is this an Issac bug only, i.e., are the power numbers (instantaneous and average) I see on the Newton during a ride correct? To get the correct average power for a ride from Isaac I add the Averages for "Aero", "Rolling" and "Gravity&q...

Re: Bad Slope Data

"Unfortunately, however, there is a bug in Isaac causing the total watts to be high. However, you can add up the aero, wind and gravity components to get your watts" - Velocomp. Is this Isaac 3.0.2 you're talking about? And you mean that adding "Aero", "Rolling" (not &...

Feature request - Screen customization

This was mentioned by dgf in an earlier post this year, I'd like to second his request. For racing purposes the most useful data is power, heart rate, then cadence and time. So it would be very useful to have an option to set one of the screens to have, in any order, power and heart shown (neither a...

Feature request - Handling Profiles

Having an appropriate profile loaded for the ride seems to be at the core of having the Newton report consistent power numbers. The current process of loading profiles to Newton and keeping track of which profile is in which Profile location (1,2,3,or 4) at present ranges from obscure to impossible....

Re: Profiles in Isaac and on Newton

So, for example, I chose an Isaac profile, say vi, then use the "Set Active Profile in Device" tab to pick Profile 4 in the Newton and then hit the "Send to Device" button and that puts profile vi in position/Profile 4 in the Newton? It's just a little confusing because that bott...

Profiles in Isaac and on Newton

If I have 6 profiles set up in Isaac: i,ii,iii,iv,v and vi and I want to assign/load them to specific profile locations in Newton how do I do it? For example ii to Prof 1, i to Prof 2, vi to Prof 3 and iv to Prof 4.

How can I see what profiles are currently loaded in each Newton Profile location?

Change profile after Ride Option

Can a Profile be changed after a ride for just a segment of that ride? I ask because frequently the first part of my ride (warmup) will be on the hoods, then I'll be in the drops for the hard stuff and then back on the hoods for cooldown. If Isaac can't do this now could it be added at a later rev? ...

Check Calibrate Function: Profile or Device?

Does the Analyze>Check Calibration function do a recalibration of the particular profile used during that ride or of the device? e.g., if I have different profiles for different wheel sets (same bike) would a "check calibration" for each profile or just one "check calibration" in...

Existing Newton going FW4 to FW5, features lost?

I understand what's added when going to FW5, but I can't find a succinct list of what's lost. For example I understand that profiles can no longer be selected directly from the unit but must be done through Isaac, is that right? If I have TSS/NP etc is that lost as well? Can you point me to a list o...
