Re: Plan about update on iOS?
It is one day before the full announcement and roll out of the new Apple products and still no update. Come on, 64 bit been on the platform for a LONG time. While I love my Newton, the lateness of updating this app does not inspire confidence. Let's hope that VeloComp really does deliver an update.

Re: iBike Newton mount failures
John, that is good news. I had the same failure a few months ago and your support folks told me too bad, I could purchase a replacement if I wished. I guess I will try again.

Re: Transmit data of iBike to GARMIN
I use this setup and it works pretty well. I have a Newton + with the GT Firmware upgrade. The power data is displayed and recorded by the Garmin Edge 500. Unless there are big corrections after the fact, I just post to Strava directly from the Garmin, it is easier. The Newton Tracker iPhone app hel...

Re: Merging Newton Tracker to a truncated file
The error messages are not very helpful so my experience is it is hard to know what has gone wrong. Are you sure that the file got up loaded from Newton Tracker on the iPhone? From the scenario that you gave I could imagine the file not being up loaded from the iPhone. That would give this error mes...

iOS App, NewtonTrack, Connection issues
I took a ride yesterday using my Newton and iPhone with NewtonTrack app. At the end of ride it failed to up load. I get the following message: Failed sending Ride data. Ride upload timed out. Try again later. I tried WiFI, LTE etc. no difference. I rebooted the phone, I logged out and logged back in...

Re: By popular demand: Export for Strava/TrainingPeaks
We'd like to get to direct import, but you're right that Strava doesn't make it easy. And there are API interface issues on the Mac platform that we are working out, too. One step at a time :D John, thanks. I do appreciate the one step at a time. I also appreciate not leaving the Mac platform behin...

Re: By popular demand: Export for Strava/TrainingPeaks
John, This is great, but it would still be nice to have a true "one button" export (unless I am reading your post incorrectly, it sounds like you 1. export from Isaac, then 2. go into Strava or TrainingPeaks and import a file, right?). Applications like PerfPro and open source GoldenCheeta...

Re: It's here: GPS for your Newton!
John, this is good news. Looking forward to it. It would be nice to integrate a simple map view within Isaac too. I know that Strava has gotten pesky these days, but if you can work with them so it is a one button export to Strava from Isaac that would be nice (TrainingPeaks import would be nice too...

John,
Very nice. Now you do have my attention. I hope I can add it to my current Newton. I don't mind paying for a software key (just don't get too carried away with the price). Looking forward to the announcement. Hey, if you need beta testers, drop me a line!

Re: GPS with newton
It has been quite some time, any comment on the ingenious solution for how to integrate GPS data with the Newton other than the file merge option in Isaac or sending the power data to something like a Garmin GPS for recording?

John,
Thanks for helping with setting my bike back up this weekend. I think adding the Tilt Cal back to the RACR menu is a good idea and will accommodate all of us. I appreciate your responsiveness to your customers.

Re: GPS with newton
I solve the problem exactly the same way as KimG. GT upgrade that outputs power to my Garmin Edge 500. Now that the Newton is so good at making corrections and adjustments during the ride and thus really does not require processing after the ride, the numbers are good.

Re: Tilt Cal R.I.P.
John, thanks for the great explanation. I can certainly say the whole tilt business seems to be taken care of well with Newton. But, back to a scenario I posed earlier that I will face this Sat. I shipped my bike to North Carolina. I will reassemble it on Sat., so the handlebar position will not be ...

Re: Tilt Cal R.I.P.
Good point on changing the handlebar position. I'm getting ready to do a ride on teh east coast (I live in the Northwest) and I will ship my bike out. In the past all I needed to do was reassembly the bike and do a tilt-cal and I was done. Now if I have to do the little ride, that is a bit more of a...

Re: Tilt Cal R.I.P.
This is wonderful John, it will go a long way to making the Newton usable by just about anyone. It has taken a while, but I have given up my old habits (cal's, tilt cal etc) and pretty much put it on my bike and ride. Rarely these days do I see anything out of whack. This is a wonderful and very use...

Re: Anybody successfully run Garmin ANT agent and Isaac on a Mac
I fought this for a long time (I would even use Parallels to run the Newton in a PC environment), and then they co-existed for some time, but again they do not work together (for at least the last month or two). However, there is another solution, the Suunto Movestick mini ($39 from Amazon) - this i...

Re: Introducing iBike GPS and iBike GPS+ Bike Computers
This sounds cool. I have two questions: 1. So the big difference between this and the previous iPhone 5 case is this new case works for both iPhone 5 and iPhone 4/4S, correct? Looks like you have a new app, but that could be used with either case. That is nice to be able to use it for either phone. ...

Re: validation of the powerStroke method
First, I think the Newton is a fantastic product. I started with the iBike Gen I (and Gen II, skipped Gen III). You have finally hit a product that I can recommend without reservation. You solved the battery problems, you are wireless out of the box, calibration is minimal, easy and does not have to...

Re: Bluetooth 4 question
Thanks for clearing this up. For me, that makes Bluetooth 4 much less interesting for bike applications. I like the idea of having one sensor that can be used by more than one device. I currently do that with my Newton and Garmin Edge 500. For more "casual" sensing applications Bluetooth 4...

Re: Compatibility iBike and another applications
"compatibility" with Strava - meaning you can send results to Strava is not what was asked for here. There are many iPhone apps that can use sensor data (Ant +) from the Wahoo dongal, it would be nice to be able to use the sensors in other apps. Runtastic is a good example.

Bluetooth 4 question
I have a question about bluetooth 4 sensors. Can more than one device connect to one sensor? So in my current set up with a Newton and a Garmin Edge 500 they can both use one speed/cadence sensor. Will the same thing be true of bluetooth 4 based sensors, or will the pairing and operation be like a b...
