Ride fille download problem
The last two times I have used my iAero the ride fille when downloaded is chopped up into four or more files representing different parts of the ride. Every 20 or thirty minutes a new ride file is started (at least as reported by iBike for Windwos 5.0.8. I can put the filles back together by appendi...

Re: Garmin compatibility announcement
Ever since I added the Garmin upgrade when I start a ride my tilt is off...by 3-6 degrees. Prior to adding the Garmin upgrade I hadn't done a tilt calibration in months. Now I have to do it before each ride. I have the 4.2 firmware. Maybe just a coincidence. I use the iAero on two different bikes an...

Garmin 500
I have an iAero on my tandem and want to transmit the power data to the stoker. Will the iAero transmit the power data to a Garmin 500? Do I need the Garmin firmware upgrade to the iAero for it to transmit power data?

iAero on a tandem
I have been using an iAero for the past two years on my race bikes (along with Powertaps that I have used for much longer). This year my wife and I have started doing TT's on a tandem and I just set up the iAero on the tandem and got the calibration dialed in. I can't tell you how great it is to hav...

Re: External Battery Question
The LiR 2032's that I see are 3.6v. Is there any problem with using a 3.6v battery in the iBike?

Attached is my iBike file (after route analysis). Oddly, the power data in the WKO raw file are largely missing. This only occurs when I use route analysis.

Re: iBike 4 and Cycling Peaks
When I download the files with iBike 4 I automatically save them to the CyclingPeaks directory. Then I simply open the file with Cycling Peaks and then re-save it as a WKO file. It saves me the step of dropping/dragging into Cycling Peaks.

iBike 4 and Cycling Peaks
I have used Cycling Peaks for a long time to analyze and save my iBike ride files. They have always worked well together( except for the fact that I have to download the ride file via iBike 4 and then open the file with Cycling Peaks. However, if I use the new "route analysis" feature I lo...

Re: Quarq vs. PT with IAero
I use the iAero head with my PT SL+ and with a HED disc. I occasionally (once a week?) zero it out and generally find very little drift. I also saw the instructions suggesting calibrating it during the ride and am not sure of the reason for that recommendation. Also, I find that doing the calibratio...

Re: Aero testing - using the time advantage feature
I have done the reset and time advantage method but I am hoping I could get a cda number for each position change. Is there any reason that you can't do a series of calibration rides, one for each position change?

Re: Where to Mount Unit on TT Bike with New Gizmo
The neat things about using thin wall 1 1/4" PVC is that 1 1/4" = 31.75 mm so the sizing is perfect and thin wall pvc is really easy to work with (cutting, grinding, etc).

Re: Where to Mount Unit on TT Bike with New Gizmo
I fashioned a mount to bridge my aerobars using lightweight 1 1/4" pvc pipe. It is thinwall pvc used for kitchen/bath drains. I cut the pvc to match the outside width of the aerobars and then used a Dremel to grind out notches to correspond to the aerobar shape. I then drilled holes in the top ...

I think you would just buy the wireless mount (without sensors) and two sensors separately: $30 x 2 + $149 = $209.

Re: TT bike race setup (kind of)
Where is your iBike mounted on your tt bike? Did you do coast downs to obtain crr and cda or did you use your PT? Before you used the remote wind sensor were you able to get accurate numbers? I have been able to get my PT and my iAero to read very close to one another on my road bike (stem mount) bu...

Re: Calibration Ride Failures
Is there anywhere that tells us the range of values to expect for crr, tilt, cda, aero, wind scaling, etc? That would be helpful to me to understand where my calibration is off.

This discussion reminds me of a question I had: is there an external battery option available for the wireless mount? If so, does that supply power for the computer as well?

Re: DFPM Cadence Sensing
I have my iAero set up with my PT ANT+. I use the cadence signal from the PT hub. I did try using the cadence signal from the iBike sensor and the power numbers being read out on the iAero became significantly distorted (I was also reading out the power on my PT cpu). I went back into the iAero setu...

Calibration ride/coast down with DFPM
I am using a PT ANT+ and gen III iAero. I understand that with this setup I do not have to do the coast downs, just the 4 mile out/back ride. If I decide to use the iAero without the PT (such as if I am using a disc) I am assuming that I would shut off the PIN in WLS Cfg and turn on cadence (using t...

I upgraded my PT to ANT+, I am able to get it to pair to the iAero but unable to get cadence or power readouts. Anyone else have any luck in getting PT ANT+ to work with iAero?
