ctANT+

It's that time of year in CO when I'm back doing most of my training on the Computrainer. Right now I am using a separate Garmin GPS and HRM strap to record HR, along with the Computrainer software to record my power and cadence. But am wondering if the ANT+ HRM strap that iBike supplies is compatib...

Re: iAero III - keeps losing connectivity to sensors

Did you ever get your unit/mount/sensors to work? Your problem sounds like exactly what is happening to me. Sometimes I will get the sensors to pair, even starting my ride, but then I ultimately get the wireless fail message. I have changed all the batteries, done hard resets, rescanned ... you name...

REPEATED Wireless Fail message

I am getting a repeated wireless fail message. This problem started about 2 months ago when I was initially using the combo speed/cadence sensor. When I started having pairing issues with that, I went back to the separate sensors without success. I have done hard resets. I have made sure the sensors...

iAero calibration

I have the iAero mounted to my stem. If I change the height of my stem, i.e. remove a few millimeters of spacers, do I have to re-calibrate everything? On the face of it, everything, including the tilt, should still be the same. I can't image a few mm is going to change the readings from the coast-d...

3 questions

1. Before today's ride, I had to load the iBike app three times before it would start. The first two times, I got the loading screen for about 10- 15 seconds, then nothing and it would just quit. Why did this happen? 2. How does the spare battery work? I started the ride with a full iPhone and a ful...

Re: "cadence off"

Yes, that seemed to work. Until about 1:30:00 into my ride I saw "speed off" and then everything failed. So after my ride I replaced the speed sensor battery and also the iBike mount battery- that one hasn't been replaced in 3 years. For good measure I then replaced the iBike battery as we...

"cadence off"

The last 2 rides I have not had cadence data. When I mount the iAero, it scans and finds speed and heart rate, but then after a few seconds it reads "cadence off" and "pin off". 1) I cannot figure out how to turn the cadence "on" 2) I thought that with the new firmware,...

iAero and Garmin 310XT

Apart from a question about the Garmin 310XT HR strap, I didn't see any other posts, so here it goes: I am considering the Garmin 310XT, which is ANT+ compatible. Would the HR and power be displayed on the iAero unit or on the Garmin 310XT unit? And depending on the first answer, when I hop off the ...

HR Chest strap

Hey, I'm doing a sprint triathlon this weekend and wanted to wear my chest strap on the swim so that I can track my HR on the bike with the iBike unit. Does anyone know if the chest strap is waterproof?

Re: 2 questions

Well I'll be. I always thought tubulars had the better rolling resistance. Thanks for clarifying. The tire change in question would be for my TT bike; I ride a 22mm front but carry a 19mm spare. Based on your response I will just change the wheel diameter *if* I ever need to put the 19mm on. Thanks!

1) what determines the Fric variable, the tires and anything else? The Fric for my road bike profile is 3.727 using GP 4000 Conti clinchers and for my TT bike it's 4.14 using new Conti Gator Skin tubulars. I would think I'd have a lower number with the tubulars b/c less rolling resistance with the h...

Re: Can some of the stronger riders upload their power files?

As a lowly Cat 4 rider, I certainly don't consider myself a strong rider. However, at the risk of some embarrassment, I've posted part of my ride data from the other day. I really put in a hard effort for the last 6 miles of my climb up one of the local canyons (blue highlight). Cheers, Jason Old St...

editing ride data within iBike2 software

Richard et al,

Is there a way to edit out power spikes after or before analyzing ride data? Even after analysis, I still had a power spike to 800 watts.
