John,
This morning I did a new cal ride and then did a 20 mile ride....can you look at these and see if they seem accurate? I road these with RWS inserted.

Re: Help with RWS
'I am a small guy...126 lbs (Only 5'4") and at race weight. My bike without bottles weights 21 lbs, so with nutrition that may had up to 3 more lbs. So I could bump it up some. My FTP is 215-220 - tested indoors on different systems. Maybe my FTP is really lower? The profile on the ride from la...

Re: Help with RWS
Please let me know if the settings appear right. I had the RWS set up the same, but felt like the ride was fairly accurate.

Re: Help with RWS
So are you saying the watts up to Mile 9 were accurate? The reason why I question it is some of the hills are steep - over 4% incline, its hard to get over them only putting out 140 watts.
I really want to get this figured out!

Re: Accuracy of set up
Where is the post about your RWS? Lets keep this thread going...(the other is in the same folder or section) The ride was a straight out and back...about 9 miles in I unplugged the RWS, the average power prior to this was like 90-95 watts, once I unplugged the watts shot up and I averaged 140ish - ...

Re: Accuracy of set up
John, I think the RWS is not working....I have another thread about this, please check out the ride I attached. The ground wind for this ride under "analyse wind" shows wind in "green" at -8 to +8 which seems accurate for that morning. I kept the RWS inserted for entire ride. Reg...

Accuracy of set up
iBike_07_27_2014_0650_39_Miles.ibr I am really working on my ibike settings to get them as accurate as possible. One question I had is around Issac SW, what you see when you download the ride and then what the analyze ibike setting shows....on this ride, the SW showed 139NP, the Analyze showed 164N...

Help with RWS
Having issues when I use the RWS...for my Tri bike I like to use a bottle between the aero bars and thought this would be perfect. But the last two rides, I have ended up pulling the tube out of the wind port and placing the bottle behind my seat so I can get accurate readings. There are two inches ...

Error message
I have had to hard reset my ibike 3 times in the last week because the unit freezes...after the hard reset the first thing that comes up in an error message 15 - top Data - Middle Error - bottom I have also had some funky power outputs, example riding 65 miles close to tempo but getting .31IF and lo...

Adjusting Newton for other aero factors for race
Have a question. I have my ibike dialed in with my power numbers in training. I am doing a half ironman race in two weeks. I will be adding an aero helmet and a disc for the race...how do I adjust my settings to have the watts read accurately? This is the first time I have ever raced with power as a...

Talk me into upgrading to the Newton
Folks, I bought an ibike a few years ago and really struggled with calibration for outdoor rides. I would try to use it in a race for pacing and for whatever reason (probably user error) I could never get the unit to work right. I did buy the trainer integration and used it as an indoor tool - loved...

Re: Newbie Help
OK, it was the cadence - not aligned...I corrected this and now the number look normal.
The other question I have is when I do ride it in trainer mode, how do I make sure? Its says "on", yet its showing wind, elevation change on the profile.

Here is the file...Can you tell anything from this? You can tell there are a lot of zeros in the power column.
As far as what erased the memory, not sure...I just did what you suggested.

Re: Newbie Help
OK, good news and bad news...I did as you suggested. Rode for 35 minutes on the trainer just to get a ride. So, the good news is the ride downloaded. The bad news is the data is messed up...example, average cadence was 47, average power was 18 watts, but it got my HR correct, it average 130 and the ...

Newbie Help
I have been using the trainer mode, completing the ride and then wanting to download the results to learn the software. When I have connected the unit to my laptop and go to down load the ride, nothing is registering...in addition the ibike memory is showing 99% full. I have erased all the data and ...
